Benton School District's feature on the nationally televised "In View" program hosted by Larry King will air on Saturday, Sept. 20.
The broadcast is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. local time on the Fox Business Network.
A preview of the program was presented Monday night at a meeting of the Benton School Board.
Benton Superintendent Jeff Collum said Monday night that he was contacted in March by one of the executive producers of "In View" about the proposed program that portrays Benton as "one of the top school districts in the nation."
Brad Bohannan, president of the Benton School Board, was commended for his service to the school district and the local community during a board meeting Monday night.
Bohannan was attending the board session for his final time as a member of the school district's governing body.
Jackie Sasfai will be taking his place on the seven-member panel beginning with the October board meeting. Bohannan did not seek re-election to another term.
In the meeting this week, Superintendent Jeff Collum presented Bohannan with a Panther Pride award after lauding his leadership.
School board elections took place Tuesday in two districts in Saline County.
One incumbent retained his seat and one board will be welcoming a newcomer.
Andy Kelloms defeated Jordan Abels to retain his position on the Harmony Grove School Board in Haskell.
Kelloms won by a total of 133 votes (55.19 percent) over 108 for Abels (44.81 percent).
In the Bauxite district, Ryan Jacks handily defeated incumbent Frank Torres for a seat on the board. Jacks received 154 votes (74.4 percent) to 53 votes (25.6 percent) for Torres.
