Saline Memorial is hosting a two-day blood drive next Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 8 and 9, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The drive will take place in Classroom 1 of the SMH Health Education Building.
â€śWe need a steady blood supply to care for our patients throughout the year, but itâ€™s especially critical during the holidays,â€ť said Rebecca Jones, SMH director of marketing and community relations.
Saline County's change from a dry county to a wet one will be the topic of discussion Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Benton Event Center.
Rick Chrisman of the Alcohol Beverage Control is scheduled to speak following a lunch provided by the Benton Area Chamber of Commerce.
The event will include a question-and-answer period for the public as well as a free lunch for those in attendance.
Saline County voted in favor of a wet county during the general election on Nov. 4.
The Bryant School District is kicking off two construction projects this morning. At 8:30 a.m. there will be a ground breaking celebration at Davis Elementary and there will be a celebration at 10 a.m. at Collegeville Elementary.Â
Both projects are expected to be completed August of 2015.Â
