The Benton Advertising and Promotion Commission and the Parks Committee of the Benton City Council are set to meet tonight.
The commission meeting will take place at 4 p.m. and the Benton Chamber of Commerce and the committee meeting will begin in the mayorâ€™s conference room.
According to the agendas, the commission will select a certified public accounting firm and the committee will discuss a grant for the Ralph Bunche community, a grant for a walking trail at Riverside Park and the demolition of a building at Lake Norrell.
A number of local residents will be participating Sunday afternoon in the 37th annual March for Life in Little Rock.
Spokesperson Jody Jordan of Benton said the participants will gather at 2 p.m. to mark the 42nd anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion.
A Traskwood man was charged Tuesday in connection with two commercial burglaries, a residential burglary and various other property crimes that took place during the past two months.
Taylor Peden, 22, of Traskwood was detained in the Saline County Detention Facility on other charges when he was charged by the Benton Police Department.
The two commercial burglaries took place at the Royal Theatre in Downtown Benton and at Fitness Unlimited on Highway 35 and the residential burglary took place on Sunset Drive, said Lt. Kevin Russell Benton Police Department.
