Local residents set to take part in yearly March for Life

A number of local residents will be participating Sunday afternoon in the 37th annual March for Life in Little Rock.

Spokesperson Jody Jordan of Benton said the participants will gather at 2 p.m. to mark the 42nd anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion.

Man arrested in connection with three burglaries

A Traskwood man was charged Tuesday in connection with two commercial burglaries, a residential burglary and various other property crimes that took place during the past two months.

Taylor Peden, 22, of Traskwood was detained in the Saline County Detention Facility on other charges when he was charged by the Benton Police Department.

The two commercial burglaries took place at the Royal Theatre in Downtown Benton and at Fitness Unlimited on Highway 35 and the residential burglary took place on Sunset Drive, said Lt. Kevin Russell Benton Police Department.

Black lab likes to take solo bus ride to her dog park stop

SEATTLE — A black Labrador named Eclipse just wants to get to the dog park. So if her owner takes too long finishing his cigarette, and their bus arrives, she climbs aboard solo and rides to her stop — to the delight of fellow Seattle bus passengers.

KOMO-TV reports (http://is.gd/R9Fa86 ) that local radio host Miles Montgomery was amazed to see the pooch get off the bus, without an owner, at a dog park last week.

The dog and her owner, Jeff Young, live right near a bus stop.
