Police: Girl fabricated kidnapping attempt

The Shannon Hills Police Department spokesperson said a 17-year-old girl allegedly fabricated a story about a possible kidnapping attempt.

In connection with the incident, the girl will be charged with filing a false report, said Assistant Chief Jeremy Brown.

Tuesday, the girl reported an white male attempted to kidnap her shortly after she exited the school bus. Later she admitted to fabricating the story, he said, and was reportedly seeking her father's attention.

Officers were able to view video camera footage from another school bus in the area.

Two people arrested after allegedly trespassing

Two people were arrested on the 5900 block of Pierce Manse Loop for allegedly trespassing at a residence.

Officers reportedly saw Tricia Huie, 38, of Bryant and Corey Vadnais, 25, of Benton in a vehicle driving away from a residence.

Huie was charged with obstruction of governmental operations, fleeing, theft of lost property, unlawful use of a license and driving with a suspended license.

Vadnais was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, said Lt. Kevin Russell, Benton Police Department spokesperson.

Bauxite under a boil order

Mayor Bill Russell has issued a boil order for the city of Bauxite.
“Water is currently turned off from the corner of Spring and Lewis Streets to Border and Lewis to High Street and Border back to Lewis,” said Alderman Paula Matthews.
There was a leak and crews were not able to fix it Tuesday as planned.
Russell said he is hoping to have the problem fixed today.
“The mayor will be at City Hall for the night if there are any citizens of Bauxite in need of assistance for getting water or using the restrooms,” she said.
