Fitness classes added to Bryant membership

Starting Oct. 1, people who have a membership to The Center at Bishop Park will be able to take part in fitness classes at no extra cost.

These classes will include KidsFit, yoga, FitCamp, Piyo Live, Zumba and water aerobics.

Court OKs funding to relocate road department

September 24, 2014

Saline County Quorum Court met Tuesday night in a brief session, but acted on a number of issues.

All ordinances submitted were approved unanimously by the 12 members present of the 13-member court.

It was noted that Justice of the Peace Buster Warrick currently is seriously ill and is a patient in an area hospital.

One of the ordinances approved by the JPs appropriates $80,000 for land acquisition costs to the road department.

Sen. Pryor makes stop in Benton

September 24, 2014

U.S. Sen. Mark Pryor, D-Ark., who is facing a challenge from U.S. Rep. Tom Cotton for his Senate seat, was in Saline County on Tuesday as part of his campaign.

Polls have shown the race to be a toss-up between the two candidates.

Included in Pryor's local visit was a stop at The Saline Courier office, where he answered a number of questions.
