An emergency meeting of the Saline County Quorum Court will take place at 6 p.m. today in Courtroom 1 of the county courthouse.
Saline County Judge Lanny Fite requested the meeting to appropriate funds needed for the county road department's portion of the Alcoa Road improvement project.
Condemnations must be paid and filed by June 30, Fite said.
"This deadline must be met or the county could risk losing federal funding for the project," the judge said.
