Bauxite to hold special workshop

September 8, 2014

The Bauxite City Council will hold a special workshop at 7 p.m. today to discuss the city finances.
Alderman Paula Matthews recommended that the workshop be held.
She said that "not knowing what is coming in and what is going out, how much money the city has in all accounts, plus not knowing what is going on with workers and elected officials getting paid" contributed to her desire to hold the workshop.
Alderman Karen Brooks agreed to the workshop and said she would bring copies of the city's 13 checking account statements for the months of June, July and August.
