"Steel Magnolias," the popular play by Robert Harling, will open Friday night, March 7, at the historic Royal Theatre in Downtown Benton.
Performances will continue Saturday night and Sunday afternoon, March 8 and 9, and be repeated the following weekend, March 14-16.
Everett Buick GMC is sponsoring the show, which is being directed by Gina Welch and produced by Lisa Goodrich.
The entire play is set in Truvy's beauty salon in Chinquapin, La., where all the ladies "who are anybody" come to have their hair done.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) â€” Arkansas' first-in-the-nation plan that uses Medicaid funds to buy private insurance for the poor survived an effort to defund it Tuesday, as lawmakers gave final approval to continue a program that has extended health coverage to nearly 94,000 people.
