The 11th Annual Monster Madness at Mills Park in Bryant has been postponed from Oct. 28 to Oct. 29 due to the possibility of thunderstorms in the ares on Tuesday night.
The event will be held on Wednesday night instead, beginning at 6 p.m. and continuing until 9 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the Bryant Boys & Girls Club.
The event will include trick or treating, a Halloween costume contest, a special area for children and a hayride.
A man allegedly responsible for a fatal accident that occurred Saturday on Interstate 30 near the Alexander overpass had been stopped by a Saline County Deputy Jack Moseley and was allegedly driving while intoxicated, according to a report released by the Saline County Sheriffâ€™s Office.
The victim, Caleb Alsup, 33, of Benton was driving a 2014 Ford Focus when he was struck by a 2003 Ford Mustang, the Arkansas State Police reported.
Alsup was pronounced dead at the scene.
