He worked at his business, Custom Cabinet Tops, for more than 42 years.

Lois Johnson

Lois Johnson, 88, of Sardis passed away Sept. 29 in Bryant.  She was born Sept., 25, 1923 in Goodwin, to the late Sam and Jenetta (Dover) Jones. She was a member of the Benton Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. 
 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bert Johnson, in 2006; three sisters; and five brothers.

Roger Allen Jones passed away September 25, in Memphis, TN. He was born January 3, 1950 in Batesville. Roger attended Little Rock Public Schools, graduating from Joe T. Robinson High, and he obtained his Master’s in History from University of Arkansas Little Rock.

Rebecca Sue Schroeder

Rebecca Sue Schroeder, 58, of Bauxite, passed away Sunday, October 2.  She was born July 14, 1953 in Hot Springs, Arkansas.  Mrs. Schroeder was an administrative assistant and a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.  She was preceded in death by her father, William Henry Kennedy.
 
She is survived by two sons, Shane Schroeder and wife, Dana and Ryan Schroeder and wife, Susan all of Bauxite; daughter, Melissa Schroeder of Victoria, Texas; mother, Dora Kennedy of Bauxite; two sisters, Virginia Candy of Haskell and Paula Croy of Bauxite and nine grandchildren.
 

Daniel Jay Henthorne

Daniel Jay Henthorne, 32, of Benton, passed away Monday, October 3.  He was born June 14, 1979 in Little Rock.  Daniel was a server administrator for the Bryant School District and a member of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Edna Henthorne and Vera Rowan.
 

Mary Lou Sharp

Mary Lou Sharp, 96, passed away at Saline Memorial Hospice in Bryant on Saturday, October 1. She was born on May 9, 1915 in Erath County, Texas. She was a housewife and a Methodist.
 
She is survived by her daughter, Billie Dial and her husband, Gene, son, Marty Sharp and his wife, Becky, granddaughter, Gina Foree and husband Donald, grandson, Matt Sharp and wife Jennifer, great-granddaughter, Austyn Sharp and Brother –in-law, Gerald Perry.
 
Private Graveside services were held at the Little Rock Veteran Cemetery.

Anna Kate McDaniel Shoemaker, 87, died Sept. 29. She was a retired employee of Reynolds Metals Co. and a member of First Baptist Church of Bryant. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Alma McDaniel; and her husband, H. Holden Shoemaker.

Mary Frances Sims

Mary Frances Sims, 80, of Benton died Saturday Oct. 1, at her home. She was born March 8, 1931, to Mary and Avery Martin in Austin.
Mary Frances went through Little Rock Public Schools, graduating from Little Rock High School in 1948. She graduated from Little Rock Junior College in 1950. She was a member of Zeta Phi Sorority at UALR and sang in the college a cappella choir.
After graduating from UALR, she married Samuel Richard Sims Jr. They have been married for 60 years.

Abbie Rose Rauch Hollinger Cook

Abbie Rose Rauch Hollinger Cook, 79, of Bryant died Sunday, Oct. 2. She was born Nov. 2, 1931, in Little Rock.
She was a homemaker and a member of Holland Chapel Baptist Church for 45 years. Currently, she is a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Hazel Rauch; her first husband, James Hollinger; a daughter, Sandra Kay Hollinger King; and her brother, Johnny Rauch.

Anna Maria (Thompson) Henderson

Anna Maria (Thompson) Henderson, 52, of Benton, departed this life and received the embrace of our Heavenly Father and our Lord Jesus Christ on Sept. 28, after a long and valiant battle with colon cancer.  She was surrounded by loving family at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock at the moment of peacefully passing into the next life.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald D. Thompson and Estella L. Thompson; her paternal grandparents, George and Essie Thompson; and her maternal grandparents, Arley and Essie Hodgson.  She was born on Dec.
