Florence Brown

Florence Brown, 94, of Little Rock passed away on July 19.
Mrs. Brown is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Brown, her parents, Guy and Coddie Bunt; one brother, Ernest Bunt; and two sisters, Thelma Wittenberg and Roselee Phillips.
She is survived by her loving son, Bobby Brown and many nieces, nephews and friends who all loved her and will miss her dearly.
A funeral service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

James Wesley Gardner, 72, of Benton passed away Monday, July 18. He was born September 1, 1938, in Perry County. Mr. Gardner retired from Reynolds Metal after 35 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Gladys Gardner; sister, Laura Bettis; and two brothers, Harold and Wiley Gardner.
He is survived by his son, Wesley Gardner; two daughters, Carol Childs and husband, Eddie and Linda Hyde; and brother, John Gardner all of Benton; sister, June Pendergrass of Rogers; three grandchildren, Lauren Hyde, Cody Childs and Will Gardner and his special friend, Earla Gardner.

Glynn Doyle Adams was very suddenly called home by the Lord, to a family reunion in Heaven, on Thursday, July 14. The Lord has allowed him to praise and proclaim His name for the last 16 years of his life.

Robert Wayne Smith

Robert Wayne Smith, 49, of Benton passed away Sunday, July 17. He was born on July 13, 1962, to Mary Ann and Jerry O. Smith in Dallas, Texas. He was a member of Highway Church of Christ was an insurance salesman and restaurant business owner. He loved to hunt and fish.
He was preceded in death by his father and his in-laws, Bill and Mary Croft.

Peyton Tyler Owens, 3, of Benton, passed away Sunday, July 17, surrounded by his family.  He was born December 28, 2007, in Benton. Peyton was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold Pelton and Faye Pelton Baker; great-grandparents, Tom and Stella Revis and Ocie and Evelyn Cowart; and an aunt, LaDonna Herlin.

Lonnie Wayne Pruett

Lonnie Wayne Pruett, 73, of Sardis was born February 5, 1938 in Sardis Community and went to be with the Lord July 15, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Pruett and “Bea” Beatrice Baxley Pruett.

Antoinette R. Hobby

Antoinette R. Hobby, 87, of Benton, passed away Friday, July 15, 2011. 
She was born June 30, 1924 in Corvallis, Oregon. 
Mrs. Hobby was a graduate of William and Mary College. She worked in the Foreign Service as a Russian Specialist of the Army Map Service. 
Mrs. Hobby was preceded in death by her parents, Temple and Helen Robinson.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Lawrence Hobby and a sister-in-law, Catherine Hobby.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date. The family requests that no flowers be sent.

Mary Letheresa Bryant, 68, of Bryant passed away Tuesday, July 13. She was born October 30, 1942, in Flint, Mich. Mrs. Bryant was a homemaker and a member of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Novell Robinson; son, Robert David Bryant; and two sisters, Linda Holman and Barb Prince.

James E. Prysock

James E. Prysock, 90, of Benton, died Wednesday, July 13. He was born January 20, 1921, to Will and Anna Prysock in Grubbs. James was a WWII Army veteran and worked for McGeorge Construction Company for 48 years. James was a member of United Missionary Baptist Church for 44 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, four sisters and one grandchild.

Mary Louise Sadler Drye

Mary Louise Sadler Drye, 85, of Mena passed away July 12. She was born to H.K. (Kagler) and Betty Sadler on December 31, 1925, in Bauxite. She was the third child in a family of nine children. She grew up in Bauxite, met and later married Monroe Drye of Benton on April 3, 1942. Monroe and Louise were married for 49 years until his death in 1992. They were blessed with five children. She and Monroe made their home in Mena for most of their married life and raised their children there.
