August 23rd
Harold “Lacy” Landers, 84, of Benton passed away Friday, Aug. 20, in Bryant.
He was born June 28, 1927, in Benton to the late Virgil and Josie Landers.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers and sisters, Ralph Landers, Vera Landers Lorenzo, Watt Landers, Carl Landers, Lucy Landers Crawford and Bob Landers; and a granddaughter, Lorie Black.
August 19th
Annie Pauline Terry Turner, 99, passed away Aug. 17, at her home in Benton. She was born Jan. 23, 1912 in Coryell County, Texas, Pauline lived most of her life in Bastrop, Louisiana.

She is survived by her son Terry Turner of Clayton, MO; daughters Emily Turner Laurel and Rebecca Turner Bourne, both of Benton; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Pauline was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Campbell Turner and two sons, Eugene Campbell Turner, Jr., and Ted Everett Turner.

Jerry G. Glasscock, 52, of Hot Springs passed away Thursday, Aug. 18. He was born May 17, 1959 to the late Betty McGillrey Glasscock and William Glasscock in Bald Knob.
Mr. Glasscock was a member of Harvey’s Chapel Baptist Church and worked for Hot Springs City Sanitation. He was predeceased by his parents; one daughter, Michelle Lynn Glasscock and sister, Rosalee Glasscock.
August 17th
Jerry Alan West Sr., 63, of Benton, went home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, August 16. He was born October 31, 1947 in Camden. Jerry was a Zone Supervisor at Wal-Mart and he was of the Methodist faith.Â
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth N. West.



Mary Ann “Mrs. Mary” Wake, 62, of Alexander, passed away Sunday, August 14. She was born October 30, 1948 in Pine Bluff. Mary was a Para Professional and a member of Abundant Life Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Annie Wake and her brother, Everett Wake.

Joniece Moss Nichols, 81, of Benton, affectionately known to all as “Momma Jo”, was born June 18, 1930 in Oxford to William and Willie Elizabeth Moss. She was a devoted mother and wife, retiree from the VA Hospital in North Little Rock, a faithful member of the Oxford United Methodist Church of Oxford and was a dedicated volunteer in the Mercy House Ministry of Sharon Baptist Church in Benton, where she chose to worship since moving to Benton. Her passion was researching and sharing family history. Momma Jo gently passed away at home on August 13, 2011 surrounded by family.

Loretta Rae Mangum Parks, 70, of Bryant, passed away Friday, August 12, 2011.
She was born October 18, 1940 in Benton.
Mrs. Parks was a retired secretary and of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace Lee; and Violet Thelma Mangum and her husband, Rodney Parks.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Daniel and her husband Ron; and two grandchildren, Amanda Swift and her daughter Kinsey, and Aaron Vice and his daughter Cameron, all of Bryant.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Heartland Rehab and Care Center at 19701 Interstate 30 in Benton.
Judy S. Nodzo, 66, formally of Benton, died Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Mattydale, NY.
August 11th
Thomas (T.C.) Chaney, 71, of Hot Springs, passed away August 10. He was born January 17, 1940 in Bauxite to the late William and Annie Chaney.Â

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Thomas B. Chaney, sisters, Reba Tackett, Hazel Taylor, Shirley Johnston, Faye Baker, and Willie May Blair.

He is survived by sons, Lee Goins of Winthrop, Raymond Booher of Russellville, brother, Herman Chaney and wife, Delores and sister, Mary Lee Collatt and husband, Walter, all of Haskell, special friends, Betty and Ruby of Hot Springs.

Cremation was through Ashby Funeral Home.

Bradley Robert Blackburn, infant son of Bradley and Amanda Blackburn of Benton, was born on August 9, and passed away August 9. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Brenda and Robert Blackburn; an uncle, Robert Blackburn; and a sister, Angel Cox.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Christian Blackburn, Benton; sisters, Katheryn Tuttle and Stormy Cox, both of Little Rock; grandparents, Stacy Mathis of Benton and James Cox of Little Rock.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m., Saturday at New Hope Cemetery in Benton by Ashby Funeral Home.
