Sherrell Lynn Pedron

Sherrell Lynn Pedron, 83, of Benton passed away Thursday, Oct. 18, at Saline Memorial Hospital. He was born March 31, 1929 in Camden to the late Julius Andrew Pedron and Lora Bell (Rogers) Pedron. Pedron was a U.S. Navy Veteran of both WWII and the Korean War, a member of New Hope United Methodist Church in Benton, and retiree from Alcoa, where he was an industrial mechanic. 

Patricia Ann Franklin

Patricia Ann Franklin, 55, of Conway died Thursday, Oct. 18, in Conway. She was born June 5, 1957, in Little Rock. Patricia was a Baptist.
She is survived by her mother, Doris Franklin, and father, Ralph Franklin, both of Benton; brother, Charles Christian, of Benton; sister and brother-in-law, Becky Wells and Randy, of Texas; niece, Sheryl Howerton, of Texas; nephew, Ryan Wells, of Texas; their families; and her extended family at Conway Human Development Center.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Monday, Oct. 22, at Ashby Funeral Home in Benton.

Robbie Dewell Burleson

Robbie Dewell Burleson, 74, resident of Mesa, Ariz., entered into eternal life on Oct. 21. She was Born Oct. 1, 1938 to James Wilbourn and Carmon Mae Burleson in Benton.
After graduation from Chula Vista High School in California, Rob dutifully served his country in the Air Force for the next eight years including assignments in Turkey and Libya. He was a devout Christian and a devoted husband.
Above all, he cherished his role as a loving father, Papa and Great Papa. He enjoyed fishing and all things aviation. He had a passion for the Sun Devils and Razorback football.

Nita Fogleman Stephens

Nita Fogleman Stephens, 88, of Little Rock, died Oct. 23, at Four Seasons in Benton. She was born in Kaufman County, Texas, on Oct. 13, 1924, to the late Marvin and Katy Baker Fogleman. She was a member of Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church.
She was predeceased by her husband, the Rev. Bryan Stephens; and sisters, Mildred Flanders of Longview, Texas, and Mary Kay Copeland of Garland, Texas.

Delbert C. Ballentine Jr.

Delbert C. "Babo" Ballentine Jr., 49, of Saline County passed away peacefully at home on Oct. 19.
He was born April 26, 1963, in Little Rock, to the late Delbert C. "Big Bo" Ballentine and Phyllis Townsend Ballentine.
Babo enjoyed Nascar races, the St. Louis Cardinals, listening to rock 'n' roll and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Ashley Ballentine and husband Brad Hubbard; a son, Anthony Ballentine; a grandson, Ashton Hubbard, who was his pride and joy; two sisters, Darla Massey and Angelia Mayfield; and many nieces and nephews.

Geraldine Willis

Geraldine Willis, 92, of Searcy, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 22. She was born Aug. 13, 1920, in Bauxite to John G. and Arkie Belle Rowland.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Willis; her parents; four sisters, Marie, Tincy, Whickett and Biddy; and three brothers, John B., Ed and Bobby.

Julius 'Sunny' Peter-Herman Breckling

Julius "Sunny" Peter-Herman Breckling, 83, of Hot Springs passed away Monday, Oct. 22. He was born March 7, 1929 to the late Martha Weigle Breckling and Julius Breckling Sr. in Hot Springs.
Julius graduated from Lakeside High School and Oklahoma State University in 1951. He was the parks and recreation director in Little Rock. When he retired, the city dedicated River Front Park to him in honor of the work he did for the parks and zoo.

Edna L. Caldwell

Edna L. Caldwell, 94, of Bryant passed away Monday, Oct. 22. 
She was born Sept. 13, 1918, in Calico Rock to the late Henry and Susan Harriet Guthrie Benbrook.  Edna was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Earnest N. Smith and Max Caldwell; brothers, Howard and James Benbrook; sisters, Alma Hart, Hazel Bean and Lorene Lester; grandchildren, Lawana Kay Hardin and Melissa Ann Hardin.

James Eldred Davenport

James Eldred Davenport, 87, of Benton, passed away quietly in his sleep Saturday, Oct. 20. 
He was born April 27, 1925, in Grant County, to the late William Harrison “Harry” and Essie Pearl (Barnes) Davenport, the fifth of eight children, and grew up on his grandfather’s farm outside Sheridan after his dad passed away when he was 8.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II and earned a Purple Heart and Bronze Star for his service in Europe during the war, including D-Day at Omaha Beach, Normandy, France, followed by campaigns through Belgium, Holland, and Germany.

Bobby D. Erwin

Bobby D. Erwin of Hot Springs went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Oct. 20.  He was 78.
Born March 23, 1934, in Benton, Bob was a local artist and a Vietnam War veteran. He was a loving husband, father and true patriot.  During the course of 25 years, he served in three branches of service – the Army, Navy and Air Force from which he retired in 1977 with the rank of captain.  Between services he graduated from Arkansas State University and was in hotel management with Holiday Inns of America in Dallas, Texas.
