Alyce Marion Hewett Mork of Little Rock, passed away April 14. She was born on June 29, 1926 in Lewisville, to the late Francis and Alyce Hewett. Marion was a member of St. Andrewâ€™s Methodist Church and after becoming disabled, looked forward to watching Joel Osteen and other television evangelists. Marion, along with her parents, owned and operated Alyce-Francis Cleaners for over 60 years. She was a faithful member of the Billy Graham Association. She had a great love for animals and her dog, Mindy, was by her side until the end.
John W. Wray, 87, of Benton went to be the Lord on Sunday, April 15. He was born in Benton on November 9, 1924. He was a retired construction superintendent and a member of the Church of the Nazarene. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend.Â He enjoyed going to church, fishing, scuba diving, trained cutting horses, winning World in 1964, and making people laugh with his quick witted sense of humor.Â He was a member of the Gideonâ€™s International.
He was preceded in death by his parents; John and Blanche (Praytor) Wray.
Robert Ray Davis, Sr., 80, resident of Benton, passed away Saturday, April 14. He was born May 22, 1931 in Bauxite to the late Claude Davis and the late Bertha Viola Gould Davis Rapier. Mr. Davis served in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Korean Conflict.Â He later retired as mining supervisor at Alcoa.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Marilyn Gail Shelton and Claudia Gould Walker, and a niece, Dana Shelton.Â
Raymond J. Smith, 80, of Benton passed away Saturday, April 14, in Bryant.Â He was born March 30, 1932 in New York City, New York to the late Raymond Smith and Mary Costigan Smith.Â He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the Korean War.Â Â Later he retired as a mechanical engineer for AT&T.Â
