Mary Lou O’Kelley Mangum, 95, of Haskell, passed away Saturday, May 19.Â
She was born Nov. 11, 1916, in the Shaw community. Mrs. Mangum was a member of Mt. Harmony Missionary Baptist Church. ,
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Florence O’Kelley; her husband, James Harvey Mangum; a son, J.C. Mangum; and a granddaughter, Mary Ann Mangum.
She is survived by four sons, Don, Jimmy, Bill and Wayne Mangum; a daughter, Patsy Bean; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Marilyn Jay Pritchard, 71, of Benton, passed away Saturday, May 19. She was born Jan/ 10, 1941, in Little Rock.
Mrs. Pritchard was a retired C.N.A.Â
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Lois Bono; two brothers, Sonny Bono and Jiggs Bono; and a twin sister, Carolyn Rider.
She is survived by her husband, Elmer Pritchard; a son, Roger Pritchard and wife Terri; a daughter, Kimberly Wilson and husband Vernon; sister, Joyce Buffington all of Benton; five grandchildren, Roger Jr., Casey, Jonathan, Ariella and Nikki; one great-granddaughter, Elissa and her special companion, Denna.
Grace Ann Mason, 73, passed away Friday night, May 18, at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton. Born Sept. 2, 1938, she was the oldest child of of Delbert Lewis Price and Alice Smith Price.Â
Grace Ann was retired from Saline Radiology. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Lewis Don Price; and his wife, Tressie .
James William Middlebrooks, 83, of Benton, went to be with the Lord Saturday, May 19. He was born Aug. 23, 1928 in Bastrop, La., to the late Howard Middlebrooks and Agnus (Laing) Middlebrooks Ellard.Â
Mr. Middlebrooks founded Middlebrooks Electric in 1945. He was a member of West Bauxite Missionary Baptist Church in Bauxite.
Phyllis Scott, 90, of Alexander, passed away Friday, May 18. She was born August 30, 1921 in Bemidji, Minnesota. Mrs. Scott was a retired bookkeeper, a member of Pleasant Hills Methodist Church and a longtime resident at Lake Norrell. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louie and Esther Lines; husband, Samuel Scott and a son, Vernon Lee Scott.
Edith “Jeanette” Green, 66, of Avilla, passed away Wednesday, May 16. She was born October 26, 1945 in Little Rock to the late George and Jewell Kruse.Â
She is survived by her son, Artie Green and wife Dallas of Alexander; daughter, Tracie Rich and husband Brian of Alexander; her twin sister, Jeanne Hutchison and six grandchildren, Tyler Green, Kruse Rich, Brody Rich, Piper Green, Lucas Ward and Corley Ward.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 22 at Ashby Funeral Home with burial at Pine Crest Memorial Park. Brother Carl Ritchey will be officiating.
