Pearl Christine (Ausburn) Westbrook, 77, of Benton, passed away June 4.Â She was born on March 14, 1935 in Kensett. Pearl was a homemaker, an avide stamp and Depression glass collector. Her prayers and faith in God have been passed on to her children and grand children.
Pearl was proceeded in death by her mother, Ruby and her father, Dick Ausburn,Â brother, Jim Ausburn, an infant brother, Roger and a great-grandson, Rowan Phillip Boozer.
Oma E. Nix, 86, of Benton passed away on Tuesday, June 5, at Saline Memorial Hospital.Â She was born on December 1, 1925 in Emmet, to the late F. L. and Ora Mae Hathcoat McAdams.Â Mrs. Nix loved to work in her yard and raise vegetables and roses and loved helping people.She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cleburne A. Nix; one son, David Nix; four brothers, Gilbert, Marshman, J.W., and Ervin McAdams, and one sister, Betty Lockard.
She is survived by one daughter, Deborah K. Nix of Ashdown, special nephew, Jimmy McAdams of Ashdown, several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Jack Ervin McGhee passed away June 4 in Benton.Â He was born March 5, 1934 in Adona to James and Arizona McGhee.
He was employed by Alcoa in Benton, retiring in 1996.Â Â He loved fishing on Lake Nimrod and working in his garden.Â
Mr. McGhee was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lonnie and Johnny McGhee; sisters, Ruby Herndon, Maxine Phillips, Earline Massey; and son-in-law, Trey Geyer.Â
Sharon Gail Dickerson, 61, of Benton passed away on May 31. She was born July 31, 1950, to the late Jack and Barbara Sprinkle in North Carolina.
Sharon loved being a homemaker to her three loving children. She enjoyed having family gatherings and playing with her grandbabies. Sharon was a very dedicated mother and Mimi.
Sharon is preceded in death by her husband, E. W. Dickerson; her parents; and one sister, Debbie Sprinkle.
Helen Marie Shelnut, 83, of Maumelle died Sunday, June 3. She was born April 29, 1929, in Lonsdale.
Helen was a retired cosmetologist and a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Gladys Warford; and a grandson, Cody Dobbins.
Bonnie Louise Cramer, 91, of Benton passed away Monday, June 4.Â She was born May 16, 1921 in Benton.
Mrs. Cramer was a member of the Antioch Christian Church and the Garden Club.Â
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Mitti Duvall; her husband, Ernest Cramer; a son-in-law, Benjamin Barber; a brother, Chester DuVall; and a sister, Edna Lance.
