Carol J. Johnson, 68, of Bauxite went to be with the Lord on Monday, Aug. 20. She was born Dec. 18, 1943, in Little Rock to the late Woodrow and Ola Jones. She was s homemaker and former medical assistant. She was a member of Hurricane Lake Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Johnson Sr.; her parents; and her sisters, Linda Raines and Bernice Smith.
Lorane Flowers McBryde, 91, of North Little Rock passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, Aug. 20. She was born Aug. 9, 1921, in Spring Hill (Hempstead County), the daughter of Will D. and Annie Maude Collins Flowers. Mrs. McBryde was reared and received her early education in Spring Hill. She was the salutatorian of the Spring Hill High School class of 1939.
Lorane Flowers married Cecil Lee McBryde Sr. on June 1, 1939. Mr. McBryde preceded her in death in 1989.
Debrah J. White Newby, 59 of Benton went to be with her Lord on August 20, with her family by her side. She was born on May 20, 1953 to Tildon and Wilma White in Toole, Utah. Debrah was a very devoted and loving mother, daughter, sister and friend. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and gift giving. Debrah retired from the Bryant School District as a teacher after 28 years. She was a member of Church at Rock Creek, where she loved to go and hear the word of God.Â
Debrah is preceded in death by her father, Tildon White and two brothers, Dewayne White and Keith White.
Charles Arthur âChuckâ Tallent of Benton, a retired deputy for the Saline County Sheriff's Office, passed away at Saline Memorial Hospice in Bryant on Aug. 20.
Tallent was born Jan. 20, 1947, in Hollis. He served his country in the U. S. Navy Seabees (Can Do, We Build-We Fight). He also served as a Saline County Deputy Sheriff, at the rank of Sergeant and worked in law enforcement for 27 years. He will be missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Arthur Tallent; and a sister, Ada Louise Bata.Â
Larry Curtis Whitley, 71, of Benton, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 19, at Saline Memorial Hospice House in Bryant. He was born Nov. 19, 1940, in Little Rock to Kathryn Northern Whitley and John Curtis Whitley, who preceded him in death.

Ricky Loyd Richmond, 56, of Haskell passed away Saturday, Aug. 18.
He was born Feb. 19, 1956, in Benton. He was a Master Plumber for Northside Plumbing.
Ricky was preceded in death by his father, John Floyd Richmond.
Jeffrey Thomas Reaves Jr., 64, of Benton passed away Saturday, Aug. 18. He was born Feb. 21, 1948, in Memphis, Tenn.
Jent Allan Monk, Comedian/Hypnotist J Medicine Hat, 51 of Benton, passed away on August 13, with his loving wife and family by his side. Jent was born on September 21, 1960 to Earl and Bonnie Monk in Sioux City, Iowa. Jent spent the last 28 years traveling the country on the Comedy trail, making us laugh until we cried. He touched many people in many ways over his travels, he never met a stranger and he didnât have a pretentious bone in his body. Once you met him you couldnât help but to like him. To all his fans âHat Headsâ, which he loved, thanks for all your support and Love of our favo
Edith Mae DuVall, 91, of Tull died Friday, August 17, at her home. She was born January 30, 1922 in Tull. Edith was a housewife and a member of Antioch Christian Church in Tull.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wylie and Dora Burton, and her husband, Richard Vernon DuVall.
She is survived by her son, Phillip DuVall, Tull; brother, Pal Burton, Sheridan; Two grandsons, Two Great-grandchildren.Â
Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Monday, August 27 at Ebenezer Cemetery in Tull. Minister will be Phillip Davis.
