Mary Louise Hamlin, 86, of Malvern died Tuesday, Sept. 11, at her home. She was born in Hatfield on Oct. 23, 1925, to the late James T. Davis and Rosa Henson Davis.
Moving with her family to Malvern at an early age, she received her education locally and was active in school sports, playing softball and basketball. She also loved to water ski. A working mother, Mary was employed by the local textile mill, the shoe plant, and by Chamberlain Door, from which she retired in 1991. She was a member of Third Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and worked with the youth.
Dennis W. Sullivan, 70, of Lonsdale, formerly of St. Louis, Mo., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 12.
He was born April 10, 1942, in St. Louis to the late William D. and Margaret L. Sullivan. He was a retired member of Sheet Metal Workers Local 36 of St. Louis.
He is survived by one sister, Dian Cowser and husband Jim of Lonsdale; two nieces, Katie and husband Steven and Terri and husband Chad; three great-nieces and two great-nephews.
