Maxine Brown Rose, 82, passed away Saturday, Dec. 1, surrounded by her husband, daughter and son.
Maxine was born Dec. 30, 1929, in Nashville, to Thomas Lipton and Daisy Ophelia Scott Brown. She was a very loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her family.Â
Catherine Stewart Buttrum Young, 59, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 1, at her home in Benton.
Catherine "Cathy" was born Jan. 21, 1953, in Little Rock to the late Floyd Mitchell Buttrum and Catherine Stewart Buttrum. She was a 1971 graduate of Hall High School and a 1975 graduate of Louisiana Tech University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.
Michael Anthony Mello Sr., 60, of Benton passed away Sunday, Dec. 2.Â He was born Oct. 31, 1952, in Whittier, Calif.Â
Michael was a truck driver and enjoyed riding his Harley.Â
He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Joseph Mello Sr.; a on, Shane Mello; a brother, Anthony Mello; and a sister, Mary Fatima.
He is survived by two sons, Nicolaus Mello and Michael Mello Jr.; a daughter, Lindsay Kruizenga; his mother, Mabel Gonsalves; a brother, Alvin Mello Jr.; two sisters, Christina Cardenas and Brenda Mello; and four grandchildren.
Lydia Faith Robinson, 51, of Benton died Friday, Nov. 30, at St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center in Little Rock.
She was born Jan. 28, 1961, in Bryant to Johnny and Peggy Wallace.
Faith was employed at Kroger in Benton, where she worked as a clerk for around six years. She will be missed by many friends and loved ones for her friendliness and willingness to help others. She loved sports and fellowship with her church family and friends. She always put others before herself and will be greatly missed.
Faith was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Peggy Wallace.
John Harmon Manasco Jr., 57, of Benton, left this world as we know it on Wednesday, Nov. 28, to go hunting forever and a day. He was born June 21, 1955.
John was preceded in death by his mother, Della Easley; and his brothers, Larry Van Pelt and David Manasco.
Greer Anthony Garner left footprints on our hearts and earned his angel wings on Friday, Nov. 30, 2012.Â Â Greer was deeply loved by his daddy and mommy, Chad and Karissa; his big sister, Hannah; his big brother, Whit; his grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and many others.
Greer will always remain our precious baby and sibling to Hannah and Whit.

Virginia McKinney, age 88, of Benton, passed away Friday, Nov. 30, 2012.Â She was born June 1, 1924 in Grubbs.
Mrs. McKinney was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ethel Mitchell; a son, Jerry Depew; a daughter, Vicki Taylor; a brother, Kindel Allen;a sister, Haley Fultcher; and two grandchildren, Laura Bunting and Robert Burmingham.Â
Debra Kay Cloud Jones, 51, of Benton, passed away Nov. 30, 2012.Â She was born Dec. 31, 1960, in Benton to Herbert G. and Jevan Cloud.
Debra was the kindergarten teacher at Our Lady of Fatima School for several years.
Teaching and her family were her life.Â She truly had a God-given talent and touched many lives.Â She was loved by all and well-known for all of her acts of kindness and generosity.
She was preceded in death by her father, Herbert Cloud, and her husband, Danny Jones.
Cleadus Wilson â€śSmokeyâ€ť Turbyfill III, 67, a resident of Paron, died Thursday, Nov. 29.Â He was retired after 30 years at Alcoa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Cleadus Turbyfill II.Â
Mr. Turbyfill is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patsy Taylor Turbyfill; a son, Steven Turbyfill; a daughter, Stephanie Brooks and husband Matt; two grandsons, Blake and Jared Brooks; a daughter, Danielle Turbyfill; a brother, Forrest Turbyfill and wife Shawna; and a sister, Iris Michelle Brown.
Buddy â€śBJâ€ť Brazell Jr., who was born Aug. 22, 1956, in Lincoln County to Buddy Brazell Sr. and Eddie B. Brazell, departed this life in Lewisville, Texas, on Saturday, Nov. 24.
His family moved to Benton in 1969 and Buddy, along with his siblings, attended Benton public schools. He accepted Christ and became a member of Elect Temple Church of God in Christ under the ministry of the late Pastor Willie Barnes Jr.
He worked a a security officer and an employee of Walmart in Lewisville, Texas, until his health began to fail.
