Cecil E. Rollon, 86, of Benton, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 8, in Siloam Springs.Â
He was born Jan. 22, 1926, in Mena to the late Marvin and Mary Rollon.
Mr. Rollon retired as a superintendent from Owasso Furniture Co. He enjoyed reading, woodworking, and teaching Sunday School. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Siloam Springs.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Alice Mae Rollon; one brother, Elmer Rollon; and his two sisters, Maxine Richmond and Eva Rollon.
Joe Rene Shores Golenor of Benton died Tuesday, Feb. 7, at home in the care of family and friends. She was born November 19, 1925 in Texarkana, Ark. to James and Velma Shores and spent most of her childhood in Monticello. Â
Joe Carl Cloud, Sr, 73, of Hot Springs, died Thursday, Feb. 9. He was born July 23, 1938 in Benton, to the late Tilford and Mary Caroline (Caldwell) Cloud. Joe was a member of Apostolic Faith Tabernacle Church and a 1958 Graduate of Benton High School; Quarterback and Captain of the Benton High School Panthers as well as an avid Razorback fan and self employed plumber.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters Gerine and Wilma and brothers Phillip, Charles and Hubert Cloud.
Charles T. Erwin, 74, of Benton, passed away on Feb. 9, at home with his wife by his side. Charles was born on December 27, 1937 to the late, William P. Erwin and Bertie Davis Erwin in Malvern.
Charles is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth Stiles Erwin, daughter; Â Charlisa French, 3 grandchildren;Â Craig Parker, Erin Parker, Thomas French, and a host of family and friends.
A celebration of Charles life will be held on 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at at Calvary Baptist Church in Benton.

Ann Elizabeth Arp, 74, of Benton died Wednesday, Feb. 8.
She was born Aug. 4, 1937, in Shreveport, La.
Ann was a housewife and a member of Old Union Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene C. and Anna McCool Hall; and two brothers, Tommy Hall and Eugene Hall.Â
She is survived by her husband, Dexter Arp of Benton; two sons, Gregory Arp of Texas and Johnny Ray Arp of Las Vegas, Nev; three brothers, Eddie Hall of Shreveport, La., Gayle Hall of Pine Bluff and David Hall of Missouri; a sister, Eunice Marzano of Pine Bluff; and two grandchildren.Â
J.S. Frazier, 70, passed away on Feb. 7. He was born in Little Rock on Jan. 2, 1942, to Sandy Coke and Vera Alice (Smith) Frazier.
Doris LaVerne Willis, 88, a resident of Benton, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 7. She was born March 26, 1923, to the late Conway Roark and Birdie Elizabeth Runyan Roark.Â
LaVerne was raised in the Baptist Orphanage now located in Texarkana. During those years she was chosen to sing on the radio with trios and quartets and in various churches in the Hot Springs area.
Gwendolynne Louise “Pud” Troutt Webb, 81, of Benton, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 8.Â
She was born Dec. 28, 1930, in Benton.Â
Mrs. Webb attended Sullins College in Bristol, Va., and continued her education at USC, where she became a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority.
She later went on to receive her degree in education in Arkansas and taught 32 ½ years at Caldwell Elementary School in Benton.
Mrs. Webb was co-chairman of the Gann Museum with her very close friend, Dorcas Holicer, and a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church in Benton.Â
February 7th
Melody Ann Traylor Ruff, 56, of Benton was born June 21, 1955 in Little Rock, the daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy Goins Traylor. Melody passed from this life to be with her heavenly father on Jan. 31. Mrs. Ruff was a member of Faith Rebekah Lodge #59 and served as past Noble Grande. Melody was also a past President of Rebekah Assembly of Arkansas and a member of Ridge Crest Baptist Church.
Margie M. Daniels, 87, of Bryant, passed away Feb. 5. She was born November 22, 1924 in Norphlet, to the late Russell and Helen Breaux Robin. Margie was of the Catholic faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Horace Minor Daniels, daughters, Linda and Teresa Daniels, two brothers and one sister.
Survivors, brother, Henry Robin Sr. and wife, Jeannette of Homer, Louisiana, sister, Jo Ann Williams and husband, Jerry of Homer, Louisiana, and very special friends, Cindy Osburn and husband, Ron of Benton.
