Martha Elizabeth Wills, 82, of Benton, passed away Thursday, Jan. 12. She was born Jan. 31, 1929 in Windfield, La.
January 13th
Wallace Henry Wyeth, 68, of Maumelle died Wednesday, Jan. 11. He was born in Dermott on Oct. 3, 1943, and grew up in McGehee. He was the son of Robert and Linnie Hesselrode Wyeth.
He received a master's degree in education from the University of Arkansas, was employed at Blaylock Threet Engineers as a production manager, and was owner of the former Goodtime Video Store of Little Rock.
He was a member of the Maumelle Planning Commission for more than 25 years and a member of the Orient Express Mystery Book Society. He was of the Baptist faith.
Mary E. Rochelle, 85, of Benton passed away Jan. 12. She was born Dec. 17, 1926, in Granville, Okla., to the late Nonnie and Marshall Emerson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Boyd L. Rochelle.
She is survived by her daughter, Marsha Grant and husband Bud of Benton; her son Bob Rochelle and wife Teresa of Plainview; her grandson, B. J. Grant, of Benton; and her granddaughter,Mandy Tropf and husband Shane of Little Rock.
In keeping with the wishes of Mrs. Rochelle, no service is planned. Cremation arrangements are through Ashby Funeral Home in Benton.Â
Frances (Pinegar) Callahan
Frances (Pinegar) Callahan, 73, of Benton died Wednesday, Jan. 11. She was born Dec. 21, 1938, in Hope to the late Gene and Lucille Shope Pinegar.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lynn; and her grandparents, Jeff and Willie Shope and Gene and Nannie Bell Pinegar.
She is survived by her sons, Jeff Esry of Benton and Sam Callahan of Paron; a brother; Jerry Pinegar of Missouri; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Robert "Bob" Reynolds, 88, of Benton, went to meet his Heavenly Father on Jan. 9, 2012. He was born April 25, 1923, to the late Monroe and Ida Mae Reynolds and raised in Prattsville.
Mr. Reynolds was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church of Mabelvale, where he served many years as a deacon and Sunday School superintendent.
Rose Marie Heinzl, 70, of Belleville, Ill., died Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, at her residence. She was born Oct. 10, 1941, in East St. Louis, Ill.
Rose Marie was a former member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Belleville, Il. She graduated from St. Elizabeth's Grade School, St. Teresa Academy in 1959 and St. Joseph's School of Nursing , Alton, Ill., in 1962. She worked as a registered nurse for three years at Alton State Hospital in Alton, Ill.
Robert “Bob” Gattin, 65, of Benton passed away Jan. 10, 2012. He was born June 23, 1946, in Des Arc. He was an employee of Alcoa and served in the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his adoptive parents, Melvin Wesley Gattin and Alva Akins Gattin; one brother and one sister.

Bobby Carl Spencer, 76, of Benton, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 10. He was born Sept. 29, 1935, to the late Dennis and Helen (Bryan) Spencer in Benton. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, who loved him dearly. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and taking his dogs, DeDe and Gypsy, to the lake.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ray Spencer, and one sister, Winnie Spencer.
Joseph Harvey Yielding, 74, of Alexander, passed away Nov. 25, 2011. He was born Jan. 22, 1937, in California. He was a decorated veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a dedicated employee of American Airlines for 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Walker and Ruth Gates Yielding; and two brothers, Cecil and Robert Yielding.
He is survived by his sons, Joe Yielding and Shelby Yielding of Alexander; a sister, Ethel Bodary of Michigan; and a brother, Kenneth Yielding of Michigan.
Sherry Nell Taylor Westerman, 68, of Baton Rouge, La., formerly of Benton, went to be with our Lord on Jan. 6. She was born in Fordyce on Sept. 11, 1943. She was a registered nurse.
Sherry was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Christine and Raymond DeLoach; her father, Waymon Taylor of Benton; her grandparents, Ed and Bessie West of Benton and Robert and Emma Taylor of Dallas County.
