Billy “Andy” Dortch, 55, of Sardis died Sunday, Jan. 6. He was born Nov. 13, 1957, in Little Rock.
He was employed at Arkansas Trailer and previously affiliated with Great Dane Trailer for 19 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Oral Dortch of Sardis.
Gilbert “Gil” Struble, 73, passed away Jan. 4, at his home in Springfield, Mo. He was born Jan. 6, 1939, in Panama City, Okla., to Elmer and Josephine (Reather) Struble.
Gil graduated from Benton High School in 1957.
He worked as a machinist and mechanic for most of his life with people such as Buddy Baker and Bill Moss of Moss Kart. He also worked at TRW, Northrup and Boeing before retiring in 2005.
Debra Kay Linneman, 57, of Mabelvale died Saturday, Jan. 6, at her home. She was born Nov. 11, 1955, in Kokomo, Ind
Debra was a homemaker and a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
Carol Jean Allen, 75, of Bauxite passed away Saturday, Jan. 5. She was born Aug.15, 1937, in Bauxite.
Carol was a homemaker and a member of Alexander First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Floyd Royer; two daughters, Irene Simpson, and Evelina Royer; two stepdaughters, Betty Elliott and Dale Carter; a special friend, Henry Hicks; two sisters, Aline Murphy and Nancy Ford; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, at New Life Baptist Church on Samples Road.
Teresa Loyce Burks, 53, of Benton, passed away Saturday, Jan. 5, at her home. She was born Sept. 28, 1959, in Benton.
Teresa was a homemakers and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Sarah Evelyn Cody Gossage.
She is survived by her husband, Tony Burks of Benton; two sons, Jason Burks and wife Kathy of East End and Brandon Burks of North Little Rock; a sister, Coresa Morton of Benton; three grandchildren; an her mother and father-in-law, Carolyn and Carl Burks.
Calvin D. Brown, 51, of Benton, passed away January 4. He was born January 26, 1961 in Benton to Carroll and Peggy Brown of Benton.
He is survived by his parents, wife, Lydia Brown of Benton, son, Sam Calvin Brown of Benton, daughters, Anna Rae Piker of Bryant, Olivia Jean Brewster of Bryant, brothers, Arlon Brown of Benton and Russell Brown of Oklahoma, sisters, Catherine Faulkner of Bryant, Melissa Ray of Virginia and grandchildren, Julia and Chandler Piker.Â
Mark Anthony Shelton, 52, of Little Rock went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 3. Mark was born on November 28, 1960 in Walnut Ridge.
Mark graduated from Weiner High School and The University of Central Arkansas. After 25 years of service, Mark retired from Wal-Mart and became the owner of Sears Hometown Store in Benton. He was on the board of Arkansas Literacy Councils, The Arkansas Rice Depot, and was a supporter of P.A.R.K. organization for youth. Mark was a member of Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock.
