Charlotte S. Freeze, 68, of Benton, went to be with the Lord Sunday, Feb. 3.Â She was born Sept. 9, 1944. in Benton.
She was a homemaker and a member of Highland Heights Baptist Church in Benton.
Charlotte loved everything about nature, which included spending time outdoors camping, fishing, and gardening, both vegetables and flowers.Â She was very artistic and enjoyed reading a variety of books.Â What Charlotte enjoyed most was spending time with her grandkids teaching them about nature and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her father, Carmon Hulsey.
Mary C. Glymph Edwards, 87, of Benton was born in Grapevine on July 29, 1925, to the late Anderson C. and Emma Mays Glymph
In her early years she moved to Berkley, Calif., where she met and married Johnny Edwards.Â They later moved to Detroit, Mich., where she was employed with Ford Motor Co. for over 30 years. Upon her retirement she moved to Oakland, Calif., and then to Benton where she united with Johnson Street Church of Christ.Â
James Lee Deaton, 52, of Benton passed away on Feb. 1.Â He was born in Baton Rouge, La., on March 11, 1960, to the late Ray and Ruby Mae Deaton. James was a plant manager for Hascall Steel for 28 years.Â He loved hunting and fishing and working in his garden.
Mr. Deaton was preceded in death by both parents; one brother, Richard Deaton; one daughter, Tracy Walker Fullington; and one grandson, infant Josh Fullington.
Alesa Renee Smith, 22, of Benton passed away Friday, Feb. 1, in Woodward, Okla., while serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Alesa graduated from Glen Rose High School and was a member of theÂ Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
