Gertrude Alonda Springer, 94. of Benton passed away July 17, 2013. She was born May 5, 1919, to Oliver Theodore (OT) and Alice Brown Wimberley in Recto.
She lived briefly in Litchfield, Ill., and later moved with her family to Jonesboro, where she met and married William Augustus Springer of Shannon, Miss. They moved to Benton in 1942.
David Thomas Moreland, 65, of Benton passed away at his home on Thursday, July 18, 2013.
He was born Sept. 2, 1947, in East St. Louis, Ill., to the late Harold and Marge Thomas Moreland.
Mr. Moreland operated his own insurance agency in Bryant and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Benton.
Â Davidâ€™s favorite moments involved doing anything with his three grandchildren,Â watching sports, and spending time with family and friends on the lake at the houseboat.
Duffie Carroll Addie, 66, of Waskom, Texas, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013.Â
He was born Dec. 8, 1946, in Little Rock.
Mr. Addie was a truck driver.Â
He was preceded in death by his parents, Judge Duffie Addie and Leonia Madaline Addie; two sisters, Birdia Mae â€śBeaâ€ť Dodson and Rose Lee Keller; and two nephews, Robert Young and Steven Dewayne Dodson.
Zackery â€śZackâ€ť Brandon Massey, 25, of Benton, passed away July 17, 2013.Â He was born March 31, 1988, in Little Rock to Dean and Connie Massey.Â
He was preceded in death by his mother, Connie Massey; his paternal grandmother, Betty Massey; and his maternal grandfather, Ernest Polster.
Zack is survived by his father, Dean Massey; his grandfather, Bill Massey; his girlfriend, Heather; his adoptive mother, Carol Welch Massey; his half-sister, Charli Atkins; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, July 20, at Ashby Funeral Home.
Rosemond Janice Lovell, 81, of Conway died peacefully in her home as she held her daughter's hand on Wednesday, July 17, 2013.
Affectionately known as "Mammer," she was born May 22, 1932 in East End and weighed only 2 pounds. She had to wear doll clothing and men's handkerchiefs as diapers. She spent her formative years with her grandmother in Malvern and graduated from Central High School in Little Rock in 1951 afterÂ numerous family moves around the United States.
