Edna D. James, 75, of Alexander passed away Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, at Saline Memorial Hospice House in Bryant.
She was born May 9, 1938, in Pine Bluff to the late Walter C. and Hazel Paralee White McGrew.
Mrs. James was retired. She was a Jehovahâ€™s Witness.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Johnny C. Davis Jr.
Linda Patrick Fleury, 65, of Benton died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013.
She was born in Two Harbors, Minn., on Jan. 6, 1948, to the late Milo and Astrid Rootness Patrick.
Linda had worked in an administrative position for BCBS and General Mills for 16 years before retirement. She loved to travel and take cruises and was an animal lover, especially her two dogs, Kieko and Skooter.Â
Edwin E. Zoch, 85, of Bryant died Monday, Aug. 26, 2013.Â
He was born July 29, 1928, in Springfield, Ill., to the late Ernest Earl and Mary Murdaugh Zoch. He moved to Bryant at a young age and spent most of his life there.
His early days of radio took him to Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi before settling back at Bryant in the 1960s.Â He retired from radio after 45 years, having spent the last 20 years as operations manager at KUAR/KLRE.
Mr. Zoch served as an alderman for the city of Bryant.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Erlene Zoch, in 2007.
Samuel Ronald "Ron" Johnson, 70, of Bryant passed away on Aug. 24, 2013, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Sept. 4, 1942, in Rosebud to the late A.C. Johnson and Nellie Mae Edwards Johnson. Ron was a faithful Christian.
James Edgar â€śJimmyâ€ť Giles, 82, of El Dorado died Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, at his home. He was born June 21, 1931, in El Dorado to Edgar William and Mattie Faye Giles.
He was a decorated veteran of the Korean War while proudly serving the U.S. Army.Â He was a recipient of the Silver Star, two Purple Hearts, the Good Conduct Medal, the Meritorious Unit Commendation, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, and the United Nations Service Medal.
He was married to Doris Marie Clift in 1955 and they had three daughters.
Elsie Marie (Johnson) Lawrence, 84, of Benton, was born June 30, 1929, and passed away Aug. 26, 2013.Â
Mrs. Lawrence lived in Benton all her life. She was married to Herbert (Shorty) Lawrence Sr.Â Elsie attended school in Benton and later opened her own business, Lawrence Upholstery for over 30 years. She was a member of Holland Chapel Church.
Elsie had many hobbies. She loved spending time with her family and was an avid bingo player. She loved to crochet and, as any Lawrence, she loved to fish.Â All of her friends called her Elsie, but to most she will be remembered as Nan.
John Joseph Morrison, 64, of Lonsdale died Aug. 24, 2013.
He was born in Hot Springs on Feb. 26, 1949, the only son of James Alvin and Velma E. Hick Morrison. He was never married and had three sisters. John was a Vietnam veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Virginia Ann Morrison; and his niece, Susan Ray Tipton Wells Sittinger.
He is survived by two sisters, Ida Lou Tipton of Newport, N.C., and Pearl Franklin of Hot Springs; a great-nephew, Derrin A. Wells of Beaufort, N.C.; and a loving friend, Jan Capossela.
Mary Louise Harrison Hancock, 87, of Benton passed away Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013. She was born March 16, 1926, in Saline County.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Millard and Lilla Williams Harrison; five brothers, Cecil Harrison, Harold Harrison, Garland Harrison, Edward Harrison and Maxie Harrison; one sister, Marguerite Vandegrift; and a grandchild, Jason Hancock.
Cody Lee Caudle, 27, of Traskwood passed away Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013.Â
He was born May 14, 1986, in Benton.Â Cody worked in construction and was of the Baptist faith.Â
He was preceded in death by his son, Cayde Wyatt Caudle.
He is survived by his father, Tommy Caudle; his mother, Dana Caudle; a twin brother, Casey Caudle; a sister, Tiffany Caudle; two nieces, Brooklyn and Bailey Caudle; and his grandparents, Ann and Tim Caudle and Melba and Hershel Hutcheson.
Funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, at Ashby Funeral Home. Burial will be in Traskwood Cemetery.
Vance B. Hogue Jr., age 84, of Benton passed away Friday, Aug. 23, 2013.Â
He was born Dec. 3, 1928, in Winchester, Ark.Â
Mr. Hogue was retired from Arkansas Best Freight as an Over the Road Driver.
He was a member of Dumas United Methodist Church and a retired Teamster.
Mr. Hogue was preceded in death by his parents, Vance B. Hogue Sr. and Ida Mae Brown Hogue; a daughter, Jennie Hogue; six siblings, Florence Walton, Fred Hogue, Betty Lou Haisty, Emma Hogue, Viola Wheetley and Rita Hogue; and a daughter-in-law, Marilyn Hogue.
