Carolyn Ann Talbert left this world and all those who loved her on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, at Indian Rock Village in Fairfield Bay. She was born April 19, 1951, in Little Rock.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Cora Reid Talbert.
She leaves behind her father, Therman Talbert Sr.; two sisters, Etta Talbert Eakin and husband Allen and Gina Talbert Holliday and husband Keith; one brother, Tommy Talbert and wife Marianne; one son, Phillip Smith; one daughter, Ginetta Little Melin and husband Danny, and two grandchildren, Aaron and McKinley.
Patricia Ann Tennyson, 62, of Bryant passed away Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, in Little Rock. She was born Sept. 27, 1950. in Little Rock.
Patricia was a clerk at the Holiday Express in Bryant.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Montgomery and Lois Langley Dobson.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Kyle Hathcote of Benton; a brother, Michael Montgomery of Little Rock; her stepfather, Ray Dobson of Little Rock; three grandchildren, Hayden Hathcote, Tanner Hathcote and Riley Hathcote; and numerous friends.
Floyd Byrd, Jr., 79, of Gulfport, Miss., succumbed to cancer at his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013. Floyd was a retired Air Force SMSGT and a recipient of the Air Force Commendation Award. He served in the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. Floyd was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to all.
Ryan Kierulf Palludan, 18, of Bryant passed away Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013.
Ryan was well known for his contagious smile, big heart and ability to make people around him happy.Â He was a gentle giant.
Ryan loved the Florida Gators Football team.Â One of the happiest times in his life was when he was able to see his team play in the 2013 Sugar Bowl.Â He also loved his girlfriend, Natalie; fishing, traveling, music, and little children.
Lillian Anita "Nannie" Jones, 91, of Benton, spread her wings and went to meet the Lord on Aug. 20, 2013, with her family by her side. She was born to George and Annie Lee Thompson Halpain on Nov. 1, 1921, in Bauxite.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; two brothers, G.W. Halpain and Luke Halpain; two sisters, Gladys Cox and Martha Robertson; and her husband, Raymond E. Jones.
John R. Prewitt II, 65, of Mountain Home passed away Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013, at his residence. He was born Jan. 7, 1948, in Little Rock to John Ralph Prewitt and Mildred Louise (Fleming) Prewitt. Mr. Prewitt was a lifelong educator and a great leader. He loved hunting and fishing both in lakes and rivers.
John was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his mother; his wife of 40 years, Gerrie Prewitt of Mountain Home; a son, Jon Michael Prewitt of Springdale; a daughter, Jessica Prewitt of Fayetteville; and one sister, Beverly Moore of Horn Lake, Miss.Â Â Â Â Â
Hazel (Kriegbaum) Russ, 82, of Benton passed away on Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013. She was born on March 23, 1931, in Saline County, to the late William George and Gladys Hazel (Lee) Kriegbaum. Mrs. Russ was a 1948 graduate of Bryant High School, a 1951 graduate of St. Vincent Infirmary. She retired in 1989, after 38 years of devoted service to the profession she loved. She was a longtime member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Francis A. "Pete" Russ and brother Bill Kriegbaum.
Jean Mobley Millsap, 69, of Hensley, died Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013. She was born Sept. 23, 1943, in Vaden, to the late Jesse and Nancy (Hammons) Mobley.
She is survived by her husband, Clyde Millsap; children, Barbara Jo (Mike) Russell, David, Mike, and Teresa.

Melba Caple Beaty, age 89, of Benton passed away Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013.
She was born Aug. 29, 1923, in Sardis.
Melba was a housewife and a member of Mt. View Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elliott and Martha Jean Caple; her husband, Bennie Beaty; her sisters, Frances McDorman and Jean Baxley; and a grandson, Matthew Beaty.
Charles David Lewallen, age 56, of Haskell passed away Friday, Aug. 16, 2013, at his home.
He was born Jan. 26, 1957, in Malvern.
Charles was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Winona Raper Lewallen; and a nephew Jeremy Lewallen.
Survivors include three daughters, April Nabholz, Amber Shapter and Autumn Buckner; hia father, Charles Clifford Lewallen; two brothers, Clifton and Timmy Lewallen; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ashby Funeral Home.
