Von Elda Jean Marshall, 91 years old, died Dec. 7, 2013 at her home in Benton, Ark.
Born to Swedish parents, Charles Otto and Agnes Rydell Johnson, on Oct. 12, 1922, in Kackley, Kan., she was the seventh of eight children. She graduated from Scandia High School (the Home of the Flying Swedes) in 1940, after which she and her friend, Scrappy Nylund, drove Route 66 to Los Angeles, Calif., where she worked as a secretary in the shipyards and for Dun & Bradstreet during World War II.
Wilton â€śChipâ€ť Naquin, age 47, passed away December 5, 2013. Wilton was born on December 2, 1966 in Loranger, Louisiana.
Wilton is survived by his wife of 26 years, Bobbie Jo Naquin; 2 daughters, Kristal and husband Brent Cook of Benton, and Naomi Naquin of Benton, AR; 2 sons, Darian and Christopher Darden of Benton, AR; sister, Emily Passman of Alexander, AR; granddaughter, Kahlan Cook of Benton, AR; many nieces and nephews along with numerous friends and family members who loved him dearly and will miss him always.
Marion D. â€śWayneâ€ť Wilson of Sheridan, Arkansas was born July 30, 1939 at Poyen, Arkansas, the son of the late Elbert â€śTobeâ€ť and Birdie C. Murdock Wilson. Â Mr. Wilson was a member and deacon at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan, and loved to read and study his Bible. Â He was retired from Lucent Technology, was a lifetime member of Toler Hunting Club, and was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening of all kinds. Â
James â€śJimâ€ť R. Golman, 82, of Benton, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013. He was born July 10, 1931 in San Gabriel, California to the late Robert L. Golman and Grace Miller Golman. He was an Air Force Veteran Staff Sergeant serving in the Korean War and stationed in Japan for 2 Â˝ years. Retired from Southwestern Bell and AT&T with 35 years of service; and member of Telephone Pioneers. He was a member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church since 1975 and served faithfully as a Deacon; taught the youth and was a member of the adult choir.
