Alvin Sales, 81, of Bauxite was born Dec. 10, 1931, and passed away Sept. 29, 2013.Â
Kenneth Dale Rogers, 58, passed away Sept. 25, 2013. Kenneth was born on May 17, 1955 in Houston, Texas.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his father, Harold Rogers.
Kenneth is survived by his son; Christopher Rogers of Texas; mother, Ann McClanahan of Little Rock; sister, Nancy Short and husband Cecil of Little Rock; brother, Ron Rogers and wife Judy of Benton, as well as other family members and friends who loved him dearly and will miss him always.
Ola Merle Russell, 92, of Alexander passed away Wednesday Sept. 25, 2013. She was born Aug. 26, 1921 in Dallas County. Ola was a retired nurse and a member of Benton First Assembly of God Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gaston and Dessie Rucker Eubanks; husband, John H. Russell; a son, John S. Russell; two brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by son, Michael Russell; sister, Jane Gill; five grandchildren, Jason Russell, Brent Russell, Brian Russell, Rodney Russell and Jeremy Russell; ten great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Gracie Louise Owens, 51 of Ola, met her Savior at Heaven's gates on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013 to join her parents, the late Freddy Owens and the late Carolyn Mason. She was born Nov. 20, 1961 in Danville and cherished her membership at Ard Community Baptist Church. Gracie loved to crochet, read Danielle Steele books and watch her grandchildren play sports. Most of all she was a proud mother and grandmother who cherished her family dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Paul Gary Hatley, 67, of Sherwood, formerly of Monticello, passed away Sept. 23, 2013, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.Â He was born May 13, 1946, in Enon to the late R.V. and Earlene Jones Hatley.
He was a loving father and grandfather, a Farm Service Agent with the USDA for 20 years, a 1971 graduate of Arkansas A&M College (UAM) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, a second lieutenant in the Arkansas National Guard and was of the Assembly of God faith.
Maybell Vittatoe, formerly of Benton, Ark., went home to glory on Sept. 17, 2013, in Phoenix, Ariz. She was born Feb., 14, 1933 to parents Tellis and Nannie May Robinson. She is survived by her three daughters and two sons.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Benton, Ark.

Ernest M. â€śTexâ€ť Phillips passed away Sept. 21, 2013. He was born May 24, 1919, in Tull. He was a sea-going Marine Corps veteran of Solomon Islands campaign.
He was a member and past commander of the VFW,. He was active in Masonic Orders and a past president of Lakewood Kiwanis Club. He wa active in local Republican politics.
Walter C. â€śPinkyâ€ť Caldwell, 86, of Bryant died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013.Â He was born Nov. 3, 1926, in Lonsdale to the late Walter S. and Dora Moore Caldwell.
He retired as a dispatcher for Arkansas Power and Light Co. and served as a deacon at Temple Baptist Church.Â Mr. Caldwell served in the U.S. Navy and was a 32nd-degree Master Mason.Â
In addition to his parents, his loving wife of 57 years, Reba C. Caldwell, and 11 siblings also preceded him in death.
Pauline McConnell, 92, of Alexander passed away Sunday, September 22, 2013. She was a member of the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church in Bryant and retired from the Arkansas School for the Deaf. After retirement she was an in-home caregiver for the elderly. She loved sewing, cooking and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Everrett McConnell; son, Paul Johnson and parents, Earnest and Ola Outlaw.
Helen Marie Long Drennan Newman, 83, died after a long and valiant battle with pancreatic cancer on September 22, 2013, in Washington, DC with her daughter and son-in-law by her side. Helen was born July 31, 1930, in Little Rock to Elton and Raymelle Long. She married Jewell J. Drennan in 1947. She graduated from Daughâ€™s School of Business in Little Rock. After graduation, she worked at Southwestern Bell in Little Rock for many years. She then moved to Benton and worked at Reynolds Metals Co. as the administrative assistant to the research division.
