Betty M. Wilson, 79, passed away at Saline Memorial Hospice on Feb. 9.Â
She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Wilson and Rick Wilson; and two grandsons, Jonathan Wilson and Jason Wilson.Â
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jack Wilson; daughter Linda Gasaway and husband Bruce; grandson Steven Wilson; granddaughter Ashleigh Adams and husband Brian; and three great-grandchildren.
Family graveside service will be today at 3:30 p.m. at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander. Arrangements provided by Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton.Â
Emery L. Smith Jr., 83, of Benton passed away Saturday, Feb. 9. He was born April 21, 1930, in England. Mr. Smith was a master plumber, a self-employed equipment operator and a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church.Â
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emery L. Smith Sr. and Hassie M. Smith; brother Jerry Smith; and three sisters, Agnes Wilson, Lucille Garrett and Juanita Hughes.
Deborah L. Moore, age 72, of Benton passed away Friday, Feb. 8, 2013.Â
She was born Aug. 6, 1940, in Livermore Falls, Maine.Â
Mrs. Moore worked at Saline Memorial Hospital and was a member of Geyer Springs Baptist Church.Â
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Caroline Ward; and her husband, Guy Gordan Moore.
George Wendell McGhee, 76, of Alexander died Jan. 31 in Bryant.
He was born June 18, 1936, in Maryville, Tenn., to Charles and Jennie McGhee.
Gayle Reed, 72 of Little Rock went to be with her Lord on Feb. 6, with her family by her side. She was born on June 8, 1940 in Wichita, Kansas.
Gayle is preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, William "Dub" Reed; parents, Roy Kuykendall, Naomi "Kay" and Jack Caraveau; and brother, Stephen Roy Kuykendall.Â
Carolyn Layne Copeland Sneed, 77, of Quitman passed from this life on Wednesday, Feb. 6. She was born Thursday, July 11, 1935, in Quitman to the late David Layne "Buster" and Alta Vernette Herring Copeland.
Carolyn was of the Methodist faith and a member of the Quitman United Methodist Church.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was a wonderful cook and her home was always open and anyone was welcome to come and have something to eat and drink. She was a member of Stacy Springs Extension Homemakers Club for several years.
Edith Ann Adams, 73, of Traskwood passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6.Â
She was born Jan. 14, 1940, in Benton to the late Hudie T. and Faye E. Couch Adams. Edith was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her brothers, Howard Adams and wife Deborah of Benton and Ronald Adams and wife Susan of Traskwood; a nephew, Justin Adams of New York; a niece, Donia Prada of Florida; and a cousin, Sarabel Leech.
Funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Ashby Funeral Home with Brother Dale Beck officiating. Burial will follow at Traskwood Cemetery.

Helen Lorene Tarry Pettit Comer, born June 6, 1927, died Feb. 5, at Chambers Nursing Home in Carlisle.
She was of the Pentecostal faith, attended Solid Rock Pentecostal Church (Pastor Elton Lambert of Alexander).Â
Ms. Comer was owner and administrator of Comer Nursing Home in Carlisle from 1961 to February 1992. She was loved by the many residents and family members throughout those many years.
Helen loved the work she was doing and the people she helped.Â
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Bill Comer and Dalton Pettit; her parents, F.W. and Mae Tarry; a grandson, Richey Brown.
William Raymond Bunch, 73, of Benton, passed away on Monday, Feb. 4. He was born in Little Rock on March 3, 1939, to Jacob Bunch and Leona Bunch. William was the oldest of four children.
He married Shirl Bunch in Little Rock on May 19, 1962. They had four children.
He was employed by Allied Arkansas and Bearings and Drives as a purchasing agent for 35 years. William was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed NASCAR, classic cars and showing his prize cars. His greatest joy in life was the time he spent with his daughters and granddaughters.
Loeta Irene Terry, 91, of Conroe went to be with her Lord Friday, Feb. 1. She was born June 22, 1921 in Bonnerdale to Ellis and Ida Mae Norman.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Harvey Hawthorne, and Harold Terry.
