Jimmy Doyle Hobby Sr., 77, of Benton passed away Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013. He was born Dec. 29, 1935, in Saline County. Jimmy was a retired mechanic, a member of Sardis United Methodist Church and a U.S. Air Force veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harlie and Lethel Dorsey Hobby; his wife, Melba; and a daughter, Vicki Abbott.
He is survived by two sons, Jimmy Doyle Hobby Jr. of Benton and David Hobby of Benton; two daughters, Wanda Jones of Benton and Debra King of Jacksonville; a brother, Donald Hobby of Benton; 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Patricia Bass Nance, 76, of Benton passed away Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, at Saline Memorial Hospice House.Â She was born Dec. 14, 1936, in Bauxite to Cyrus Lee Bass Jr. and Minnie Davis Bass.
Mrs. Nance was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Saline County Historical and Heritage Society.Â
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willard Dean Nance; and a grandson, Kyle Alan Nance.
William â€śBillâ€ť R. Ward, 73, of Benton passed away Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013.
He was born Aug. 17, 1940, in Minneapolis, Minn., to the late Waldron and Susie Ward.
He was a manufacturing representative for John Stacks Agency for many years and then became owner of Surplus Sales in Benton.Â He was a Vietnam Air Force veteran and a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Shirley Ward; a son, William Bryan Ward; two daughters, Karen S. Witham and Joyce West; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Marilyn Ann Moraino, 59, of Benton, passed away September 20, 2013.Â She was born April 7, 1954 in New Jersey to Joseph and Iris Sutton Romeo.Â Â Marilyn was of the Catholic faith and worked as a flight attendant for many years.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Iris Romeo and sister, Jo Beth Romeo.
She is survived by son, Ian Moraino of New Jersey, father, Joe Romeo of Texas and sister, Sandy Romeo of Benton.
Michael Nolan James, 56 of Benton, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013.Â He was born July 16, 1957 in Spokane, Wash. to Nolan and Patricia Yates James.Â He was a member of Gravel Hill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Nolan Roy James.
He is survived by, daughter, Heather James; mother, Patricia James; brother, Steve James, and many nieces and nephews.
Chapel services will be 1 p.m. Monday, Sept 23 at Ashby Funeral Home with burial to follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery.

Lillian Mae Debus Atwood, 70, of Little Rock passed away Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013.Â She was born Nov. 8, 1942, in Lansing, Mich.Â
Mrs. Atwood was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Alice Debus; two husbands, William Earl Henson and Dennis Edgar Atwood; and a brother, John Debus.
Lola Faye Davis Conklin, 84, of Malvern died the morning of Sept. 19, 2013, at the Hot Springs County Hospital.Â She was born April 21, 1929, to the late William Benjamin â€śBillâ€ť Davis and Lucy Belle Montgomery in a farmhouse, at the foot of White Oak Mountain near Waldron.Â Mrs.
Marion Thomas Simpson, 59, or Benton, born June 6, 1954, passed away Sept. 13, 2013. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Simpson, and two brothers.
Hi is survived by wife Jeanette Simpson, mother Evelyn, two daughters, one son, three stepsons, two sisters, one brother, and nine grandchildren. Arrangements by Arkansas Funeral Care.

Hunter McBride Hardin, 20, of Searcy passed away Monday, Sept. 16, 2013.Â He was born Nov. 25, 1992, in Benton, to Joe Kelly and Kim Moore Hardin.Â Hunter attended Benton High School.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Kelly Hardin; and his grandparents, Dewey Hardin, Marcelle Hardin and Jerry L. Moore.
He is survived by his mother, Kim Hardin of Searcy; a sister, Shelby Hardin of Fayetteville; and his grandmother, Joyce Moore of Searcy.
Norma Lee (Bright) Hostetler of Benton passed away in Little Rock on Sept. 17, 2013, at the age of 79. She was born in Bryant on Jan. 10, 1934, to the late Lewis E. Bright and Cora (Gentry) Bright.Â
In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her two brothers, Euell â€śDickâ€ť Bright and Curtis â€śBurrâ€ť Bright; and one sister, Ruth Bright.
She is survived by two sons, Larry Sanders and Doug Sanders; a daughter, Tanya Brazil; and two sisters, Billie Jean Hibbard and Carolyn Colemen.
She also leaves behind eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
