Harold E. â€śHapâ€ť Houpt Sr., passed away on Monday, Nov. 24, 2014. Hap was born on Dec. 25, 1938 in Traskwood.Â He was a retired employee of Southern Foods and a Veteran of the National Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Houpt; son, Harold Houpt Jr. and his wife Susan of Randleman, North Carolina; Douglas Michael Houpt of Randleman, North Carolina; brothers, Bill Sheets of Tampa, Florida; Albert Houpt of Benton; James Houpt of Benton;Â Doug Houpt of Texas; sister, Louise Sanchez of Benton; and granddaughter, Melissa Houpt of Greensboro, North Carolina.
Jeff Ritter, 60, of Benton, passed away on Monday, Nov. 24, 2014. He was born in San Antonio Texas on Jan. 21, 1954. His parents were James L.S. and Ruth W. Ritter.
Jeff had many interests including music (especially the blues), reading, and outdoors activities of any sort. He was a canoeist, and enjoyed sailing with his good friends Bob Schenebeck and Bruce Driver.
Bobby Wayne Carr, 68, of Bryant, passed away Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014. He was born July 6, 1946 in Center Ridge, a son of Jude Carr and Lily Bell Anderson Carr.
He was a Carman for the Union Pacific Railroad, Vietnam Army Veteran and member of New Hope Nazarene of Little Rock.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, J.M., Alton, and Landon Carr.
Terry Alan Spicer, 52, of Benton, passed away Nov. 22, 2014. He was born Aug. 21, 1962 in Little Rock.
Terry was a computer analyst. He worked with Pulaski Bank in Little Rock. He is remembered for being a hard worker. He loved his family and was a great family man. Some of his greatest times were spent taking his grandsons fishing. He was very caring and generous, always willing to help anyone in need. Bowling was one of Terryâ€™s favorite hobbies. He enjoyed participating in several bowling leagues. Terry was a member of New Life Baptist Church.
