Dorothy Kindy Brown

Dorothy Kindy Brown, 87, of Fort Smith passed away Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014.
She was born Aug. 4, 1927, in Bauxite to the late Thomas and Daisy Chrestman.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Fort Smith. She worked with the Boys' Shelter in Gainesville, Texas, and Superior Federal Bank in Little Rock.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved being outdoors, loved to draw and was a wonderful artist. She was married to Van Brown, who was the oldest living Razorback football player until his death in March of 2010.

Joe Bert Stewart

Joe Bert Stewart, 72, of Russellville, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center.  He was born November 15, 1941 in Wister, Oklahoma to Orvis D. and Bessie M. Pearson Stewart.  Mr. Stewart was employed with Entergy for 25 years.  He was of the Assembly of God Faith and attended First Assembly of God in Russellville for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mona Anne Shaw, age 80, of Bryant, was born October 10, 1933, in Augusta, to Herman Sawyer and Doris Holler (Blalock). 
Mona attended State Teachers College (now UCA), and spent the majority of her career in the field of personnel administration — a natural fit — because her greatest passion was people. Known for her ease of conversation, she possessed an infectious smile and laugh and, throughout her life, maintained a sweet demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many. There were countless recipients of her consistent, nurturing, love.
