Beverly Jean Robertson Meyer, age 69, of Benton, Arkansas, passed awayÂ Monday, August 4, 2014.Â She was born January 9, 1945 in LaGrange, Illinois, a daughter of the late Jolly D. and Flora Louise McVay Robertson.Â She was the widow of Henry James â€śJimâ€ť Meyer, and retired from General Motors.
She is survived by two sons, Matt Battles of Marseilles, Illinois, and Teddy Battles of Lancaster, Ohio; sister, Phyllis (Horace) Prickett of Benton; three grandchildren.
Billie Lea Johnson Woosley, age 95 of McKinney, Texas, formerly of Benton, died Thursday, July 31, 2014. Born on October 2, 1918 to Robert Lee and Lora Cole Johnson of Conway, she married Lester Woosley of Carlisle, Arkansas on October 3, 1943. They had 61 wonderful years together until his death in 2005.
L.C. Roberts of the East End Community was born August 18, 1943 at Tuckerman, the son of the late William Lesley â€śLesâ€ť and Lucille Pauline Walden Roberts. He was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, mud-riding, four wheeler riding, camping, and anything else that involved being outside. L.C., his late wife Doris, and their son, Ronnie, worked side by side in the sign business. He was in the sign profession for over 45 years, before retiring from the family business, Signs and Lines Graphic Arts, and the family tradition continues to live on with Ronnie.
