Fred L. Whitfield

Fred L. Whitfield, 88, of Benton passed away June 24, 2014.
He was born April 16, 1926, in Dewitt to the late Henry and Mattie Brooks Whitfield.
Fred served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy Whitfield; his brothers, Doyle, Ray, Virgil, Derrel and Norris Whitfield; his sisters, Lucille Bryan, Bernice Crutchfield, Reba Jane Whitfield and Lyla Whitfield; and a son, Jeff Whitfield.

Floyd James Moore

June 24, 2014

Floyd James Moore, 84, of Traskwood passed away on June 23, 2014, at home with his family.
He was an expert wood carver and could play any instrument.
He was a volunteer for Arkansas Health Center and numerous nursing homes.  He loved to travel and to eat out, but, most of all, he loved spending time with family and friends. He never missed church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Lillian Robinson.

Oscar N. Golden

Brother Oscar N. Golden, 84, of Benton passed away Sunday, June 22, 2014, and was ushered into the presence of his Lord by God’s holy angels.
He was born Dec. 27, 1929, in Arkadelphia to Mr. and Mrs. Joe Golden.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by one brother, Joe Golden Jr. 
He graduated from Ouachita Baptist College in Arkadelphia and then from Central Baptist Seminary in Kansas City, Kan.
