Terri Welch, 41, of Haskell, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 22.Â She was born March 5, 1971, in Little Rock to James H. and Theresa (Payne) Welch.Â She graduated from Harmony Grove High School and was of the Christian faith.
She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Nickholas J. Welch and James Henry Welch; her grandfather, James E. Welch; and her grandmother, Eddie Payne.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her grandmother, Mary Irene Welch; aunts, uncles, and many friends.
Josephine Ann "Josie" Gillen, 80, formerly of Benton, passed away peacefully on Sunday June 17, in Austin, Texas. She was born in Benton on Oct. 10, 1931, to Norma Styers Overton.
Josie was a loving mother and devoted to her family. She will be dearly missed by all blessed to have had her in their life.
She was preceded in death by her mother; her aunt and uncle, Doris "Sissy" and L.J. "Buster" White; another uncle, W. J. "Bill" Styers; and her grandparents, W.J. and Josephine Styers.Â Â
Connie Darlene Wilkerson Parish, 53, of Benton, passed away June 21.Â She was born Jan. 8, 1959, in Sheridan, to Fred and Aleece Wilkerson.Â
She was preceded in death by her father,her brothers, Bobby Threlkeld and Troy James; a sister, Cynthia Richardson; and her favorite cat, Midnight.
She is survived by her husband, Louis Parish of Benton; a daughter, Kristi Townsend of Benton; her mother, Aleece Goins, and her stepfather, Clomer Goins of Benton; a sister, Vickie Smith of Benton; and wo grandchildren, Breiana Fox and Nicholas McDaniel all of Benton.
Judy Arnold, 70, of Benton, passed away at Saline Memorial Hospice in Bryant on Thursday, June 21.
Born in Stuttgart on March 21, 1942, she was the first child born to Harold Lloyd and Juanita Stephenson. Judy graduated from DeWitt High School in 1960 and Henderson State University in 1964. In 1965 she married Glen Arnold and they settled in Benton in 1974 to raise their family.
Morgan Paul Richey Jr., 76, of Benton passed away June 19.Â He was born Feb. 16, 1936, in Saline County to the late Morgan Paul and Myrtle Richey Sr.Â
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Linda Burnett.
Akuma Twilight â€˜Spiritâ€™ aka Eddy Zeiter 38, of Bauxite passed away on May 30. He was a very giving spirit who treated so many like family. He was known throughout his community for his giving and helpful nature. He would collect toys, and other household goods to distribute to the less fortunate. Though he did not have much himself, he always found something to give. He had a unique sense of humour and loved being a part of his community. He felt as if he belonged, and he loved living in Bauxite on his family property.
James Franklin Hendricks, 77, of Benton passed away on June 17 with his family by his side.
Frank was born Aug. 30, 1934, to the late Jim and Ruby Hendricks in Bradford.Â He was a member of Indian Springs Baptist Church for more than 20 years.Â Frank had a passion for going on rock building missions where they would build churches.Â He loved to hunt, fish, woodworking and working in his garden.Â Mr. Hendricks retired after 24 years from IBM.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Fran Leavelles, 72, of Benton died Sunday, June 17, in Little Rock. She was born Dec. 12, 1939 in Brownfield, Texas.
Fran was a homemaker and a member of Rock Creek Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Johnson Green' and her husband, David Leavelles.Â
Christopher Michael Patterson, 35, of Traskwood passed away June 17.Â He was born March 9, 1977, in Malvern to Michael Curtis and Brenda Patterson.Â Christopher was a member of Victory Baptist Church of Haskell and worked in construction.
He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Curtis Patterson.
Floyd Lee Bennett, 80, of Benton died Sunday, June 17.Â He was born Oct. 20, 1931, in Oklahoma to the late James and Amanda Bennett. Â Mr. Bennett was employed by Climax in Leadville, Col., from 1959 to 1973 and then worked at Alcoa from 1973 until his retirement in 1995.
He was a Korean War Army veteran and served as a firefighter for the Salem Volunteer Fire Department from 1976 to 1995.Â
Mr. Bennett was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Ina Doris Bennett, his parents, two brothers and three sisters.Â
