Bobbye Faye Christian Simon, 82, of Benton passed away on June 29. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters.
Bobbye leaves behind her loving husband, Billy H. Gentrie; three daughters, Jackie Sorrells of Benton, Judy Fletcher and husband, Travis of Seabrook, Texas, and Jan Crifase and husband, Nick of Northfork, Ill.; four grandchildren, Micah Benson of Atlanta, Ga., Angela Sorrells of Dallas, Texas, Matthew Benson of Houston, Texas, and Jim Crifase of Northlake, Ill.; and eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
CP Jackson, age 72, of Benton, passed away June 30. He was born June 7, 1939, in West Helena to the late Curdy P. and Esther (Holland) Jackson.
He was retired from Alcoa as a pipe fitter and a member of Crossroads Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, music, and woodworking. He loved a good argument and to tell jokes.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Ledderman.
Alan Wayne Dawson, 50, of Benton, left this life to join his Heavenly Father on June 29. He was born July 26, 1960, in Benton. Alan worked for UPS for almost 30 years and developed many close friends with both employees and customers. He enjoyed hunting, running dogs and fishing. Alan was a member of Tyndall Park Missionary Baptist Church and PST Hunting Club. He was known for his love and generosity to his family and friends. Alan was preceded in death by his dad, Dale Dawson; great-nephew, Wyatt Lawrence, maternal and paternal grandparents; and several beloved uncles and cousins.

Judith Ann Brown, 68, of Benton, passed away June 28, 2011 in Bryant. She was born Dec. 2, 1942, in Joplin, Mo. to the late Leland S. Waterhouse and Virginia (Waterhouse) Marshall. She was a school teacher for 27 years for the Benton School District, a member of First Christian Church, and a loving mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Steven N. Brown.

Gene David Wheelbarger, 29, a loving and caring husband, daddy, son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend, died June 21, 2011. His memorial service was held Saturday at Edgepark United Methodist Church in Fort Worth, Texas.
Eleanor Langley, 84, of Benton, went to be with the Lord, June 24. She was born November 28, 1926, in Little Rock to the late Thomas and Ollie Jackson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James Langley and grandsons, Tony Ray Langley and Phillip Don Hill.
Alice Isbell Moore, 90, of Benton, previously from Selmer, Tenn., passed away Sunday, June 26, at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton. She was born on October 18, 1920, in Bethel Springs, Tenn. to the late Mark and Amelia Isbell. Mrs. Moore had retired from Brown Shoe Company in Selmer. One sister, Pauline Lewis and one grandson, Anthony Gene Moore also preceded her in death.
Mamie Wagner Glover, 76, of Gravelly, formerly of Benton, died Friday, June 24, in Benton. She was born March 7, 1935, in Nola, to Lester and Ala Mea Jones Wagner. Mamie was a member of the 1952 Fourche Valley graduating class. She worked for American Airlines, Sears, Magic Mart/ Sterling Stores before retiring from the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration. She was a member of the Nola Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Billie Joe Glover, her parents, a sister and brother-in-law, Robbie and Roy Fickle, and her nephew Mark Wagner.
Evelyn Elizabeth Burks Johnson, 89, of Benton, went to be with the Lord on June 26. She was born on October 11, 1921, in Benton to the late Charlie R. Burks and Etta Elizabeth Bray Burks. She was of the Church of Christ faith. Evelyn was a licensed practical nurse, retiring from the state of California and served in the Women’s Army Auxiliary Corp of the United States Army. She loved to fish and garden and take care of friends and relatives when needed.
Samuel H. “Sam†Daggett, 77, of Orange, Texas passed away Sunday, June 26, at Christus Hospital - St. Elizabeth in Beaumont, Texas.
Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange, Texas. Officiating will be Rev. Barry Bradley, pastor of First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange, Texas.
A gathering time of family and friends to share memories will be from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
