C.W. â€śWoodieâ€ť Howell, 79, of Alexander passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2014.Â He was born June 23, 1934. in Little Rock, to the late Chester Woodruff Howell Sr. and Una Belle Morris Howell Burnett.Â
Mr. Howell was a painting contractor and owned C.W. Howell Painting Co. He served in the U.S. Army and attended Collegeville Nazarene Church.
Woodie was a member of the VFW No. 9095, the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Moose Lodge No. 2567.
Mr. Howell was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Patricia; and a sister, Gail Cooper.
Patricia Ann Estes, 56, of Benton passed away Monday, April 21, 2014.
She was born Dec. 25, 1957, in Little Rock to the late Ervin and Ruth Jackson Moore.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a great-grandchild, Zene Griffin.
Jimmy Winbury, age 74, of East End was born Sept. 6, 1939, in Saline County.Â He joyously entered his heavenly home Saturday, April 19, 2014, at St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center, leaving much love but sadness to all who loved him.Â
Jimmy had a tremendous love of the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of Potter Creek Hunting Club.Â He was retired from AMF Cycle Co. and Coca-Cola Bottling Co.Â
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Othel and Virginia Winbury; and two sisters, Betty and Hazel Eaton.
Donnie Lee (Watts) Dowden, one of Bryantâ€™s oldest longtime residents, passed away peacefully, Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the age of 93.Â Donnie was preceded in death by her husband, Russell H. Dowden, Sr., her parents, Austin J. Watts, and Ura Irene Watts of Bryant.Â Also, preceding Mrs. Dowden were sisters Mary Schwaller, Opal Rogers and Winnie Lansdown.Â Born in Bryant, Arkansas, on March 27, 1921, Mrs. Dowden is survived by her three children, Russell H. Dowden, Jr. of New Palestine, Indiana, Danny L. Dowden of Manchester, Tennessee, and Donna D.
