James R. Buie

A glad reunion is underway in Heaven as Servant of God and beloved friend of all who knew him, the Rev.James R. Buie, joined those who have gone before him on Thursday evening, June 2, 2011. Those who remain in faith of yet another sweet homecoming include his dear wife, Ms. Evelyn Buie of Malvern; children, Mike and Brenda Carr, and Randy and Janice Moore of Malvern, Gay Dumas and Victor and Marsha Smith of Benton; sisters, Areta Sadler and Martha Ernest; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Karen Kay Yeager Windsor, 40, of Fort Smith, went to heaven to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 4, 2011, at St. Edward Medical Center in Fort Smith.
She was born Dec. 27, 1970, in Harrison, the daughter of Ed and Shirley Brazzeal Yeager.  Karen graduated from Van Buren High School in 1989.  She went on to the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority.  She graduated in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.

Donnell L. Coleman

Donnell L. Coleman, 50, of Haskell died Sunday, June 5, 2011, at Saline Memorial Hospital.
He was born Sept. 21, 1960, in Plant City, Fla. 
Mr. Coleman was of the Baptist faith.  He had retired from Hilbilt Manufacturing Co. as a paint department supervisor and loved restoring antique automobiles.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Wiley Hale; an uncle, Otis Halel and his father-in-law, Allen Dodgen. 

Warren B. “Skeet†Johnson

Warren B. “Skeet†Johnson, age 72, of McRae, formerly of Benton, passed away June 4, 2011, at his home.  He was born Oct. 20, 1938, in El Dorado, Ark.
Skeet was the owner and operator of a heavy-duty equipment and welding shop for 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Ruby Johnson; a brother, W.B. Johnson; two sisters, Juanita Brotherton and Betty Burnett; his wife, Edith Johnson; and a son, Jerry Johnson.

James Louis ‘Gator’ Gorum Jr.

James Louis “Gator†Gorum Jr., age 82, of Benton died Monday, June 6, 2011. He was born Jan. 19, 1929, in Midland, Texas. James was a self-employed construction worker. He was preceded in death by his parents, James L. and Annie Mae Graves Gorum, son, Richard Scott Dossey.
Survivors inlcude a son, Darl Gorum, Oklahoma; three daughters, Roseanna Seawright of Benton, Dana Seals of Oklahoma and Kim Chandler of Little Rock; a sister, Ginger Bouizines of Tennessee; nine grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
James lived a colorful live and never met a stranger.

Margaret Anne Cathey Rolleigh

Margaret Anne Cathey Rolleigh, 89, of Heber Springs, a former Benton resident, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2011. She was born Sept. 18, 1921, in Thornton, Ark., to the late C.W. (Wash) and Pearl Payne Cathey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Lawrence Rolleigh Jr.; one son, Eugene Lawrence Rolleigh III.; two sisters, Maurine Williams and Miriam Josey; and three brothers, Clyde Cathey, Hubert Cathey, and Donald Cathey.

In addition with scores of family and friends, Bro.

Linoel Dwain Boyette

Linoel Dwain Boyette, age 58, of Benton, passed away Friday, June 3, 2011.  He was born March 22, 1953 in Benton, Ark. 
Dwain was preceded in death by his father, Don Boyette.
He is survived by a son, Anthony Boyette and wife Sherri of Benton; a daughter, Shelly Boyette of Malvern; his mother, Shirley Boyette of Benton; two brothers, Kenneth Boyette and John Boyette, both of Benton; a sister, Christina Bradshaw of Benton; and five grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 6, at Ashby Funeral Home with burial to follow at Harmony Cemetery.

Mary Louise Gilbert

Mary Louise Gilbert, 85, of Benton passed away on June 2, 2011. 
Mary was born on Aug. 25, 1925, to the late Thomas and Ellen Miller in Fairview, Ark.
She was a member of Christ Church for over 30 years; she would always start her day by reading her Bible.  Mrs. Gilbert enjoyed singing, reading, word search puzzles, taking photos and spending time with her family. 
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 59 years, Junior Gilbert; two brothers; and three sisters.

Mary Gusaline Thompson

Mary Gusaline Thompson, age 80, of Benton, passed away Friday, June 3, 2011.  She was born November 18, 1930, in Bauxite, Ark. 
Mrs. Thompson was retired from Saline Memorial Hospital and a member of New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church. 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gus Alfred and Audrie Neal Shiftlett, and a sister, Carmen.
