Edmond L. 'Buck' Layfield

June 9, 2014

Edmond L. "Buck" Layfield, 88, of Benton was received into the open arms of Jesus on Saturday, June 7.   For the past two years, he had been living at Four Seasons Residential Care Center.
He was born May 22, 1926, in Harmon, La., to Edmond L. Layfield Sr. and Martha Mae Layfield, who preceded him in death. Before his retirement, he had worked for 37 years as a maintenance mechanic for Reynolds Metals in Benton.

James Madison Lee

James Madison Lee, 84, of Benton passed away Friday June 6, 2014, at the VA Hospital in Little Rock.
He was born April 30, 1930, to Bud Lee and Rachel Childress Lee in Saline County. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from the Saline County Water Department.
Mr. Lee was past adjutant of American Legion Post 19 in Benton and a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 63 years, Eileen Foley Lee.

Geneva Irene Wilhelm Carmichael

Geneva Irene Wilhelm Carmichael, 82, of Bryant went to be with the Lord on Friday June 6, 2014.
She was born July 14, 1931, to the late Carl and Addie Wilhelm of Alexander. She graduated from Mabelvale High School in 1949 and was married to the late Bobby Lee Carmichael of Bryant on June 20, 1953. She was a wonderful wife and devoted mother, spending her life serving others, especially family and friends.
Mrs. Carmichael retired from the Alexander Post Office in 1996.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lee; and three infant grandsons.
