Noel M. Shelton

Noel M. Shelton, 77, of Benton, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014.  He was born Oct. 11, 1936, in Benton. 
Mr. Shelton was a member of Wright's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church and was a retired clerk. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Inez Shelton.
He is survived by his wife, Arnell Shelton of Benton.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 24, at New Rosemont Cemetery with Brother Curtis Bryant officiating. 
Visitation is set from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 23, at Ashby Funeral Home.

Rhonda Hicks

Rhonda Hicks, 61, of Paron passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014.  She was born April 15, 1952 in Loving, N.M. 
Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Louise Johnson; and a brother, Michael Johnson.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Hicks; a son, Chris Hicks and wife Tonya; two sisters, Pamela Johnson and Phyllis Johnson; a grandson, Silas Hicks; and a granddaughter, Penelope Hicks.
Graveside service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, March 24, at Walnut Bottoms Cemetery in Paron. 
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 23, at Ashby Funeral Home.

Mary Kathryn 'Mickie' Dobson

Mary Kathryn "Mickie" Dobson of Benton died Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton.
She was born Dec. 2, 1933, to John C. Harlan and Willie Irene Gardner Harlan in Humphrey.
Mickie was a member of Humphrey Baptist Church for 65 of her 80 years and Spring Creek Baptist Church in Benton for the past 15. She deeply loved her Lord, her family, her two church homes, and many wonderful friends.

Roy 'Wayne' Hall

Roy "Wayne" Hall, 69, of Benton passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014.  He was born Sept. 9, 1944, in Benton to the late Roy C. and Sybil Arthur Hall.
Mr. Hall was a retired operations supervisor with Kruse Meats and a member of Old Union Baptist Church.  He served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one son, Stephen Wayne Hall; and one granddaughter, Erin Merritt.

Class 6A state tourney postponed on Friday. Will continue on Saturday.
