Curtis G. “Shag” Rasburry

Curtis G. “Shag” Rasburry, age 85, of Benton passed away May 19, 2014. He was born November 9, 1928 in Benton. Curtis was a retired School Teacher, Coach and Principal, a US Army Veteran serving in the Korean War and a member of First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James G. Rasburry and Mary Steele Rasburry, two brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Dawn Rasburry, Benton; sons and daughter-in-law, Steve and Elaine Rasburry, Benton; Stan Rasburry, Benton; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Lucille L. (Clark) Brewer

Lucille L. (Clark) Brewer, 92, of Haskell-Benton, formerly of Sheridan, passed away on May 17, 2014.  She was born on May 22, 1921, in Tull, to the late Alfred Clark and Lovie (Gillis) Clark.
Mrs. Brewer was an L.P.T.N., employed at the Benton Service Center, Haskell-Benton, for many years.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Horace V. (Pinky) Brewer, two sons, Richard Leon Brewer and Aubrey Dean Brewer; sister, Lena M. Ramsey; brothers, Nathan Clark and Alfred Jerome Clark; and granddaughter, Deborah (Brewer) Herring.

Joann Chastain

Joann Chastain, 83, of Benton passed away after a lengthy illness of Alzheimer.  She was born December 12, 1930 in Benton, to the late Winfred and Thelma Patterson Clift.  Joann was a member of Holland Chapel Baptist Church and was retired as a teller for Regions Bank of Benton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jesse Chastain and brother, Harlan Clift.
