John R. Pittman, Sr.

John R. Pittman, Sr., 92, of Chidester, died Saturday, April 5, 2014.  He was born Sept. 13, 1921, in Mt. Vernon, Texas.
He was the son of Aaron Alexander Pittman and Pennie Mae Smallwood Pittman.  He was an Army Veteran of World War II (1942-1946).  He retired from Montsanta Chemical.  He loved spending time with his family.

Phillip M. Davis

Phillip M. Davis, 72, of Tull, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2014.  He was born in Tull on Sept. 5, 1941, and was the son of the late Walton and Belva Davis of Tull.
Phil was a graduate of Henderson State Teachers College with a degree in psychology.  He worked in the area of human resources and strategic planning for Sperry Remington and Owatonna Tool Co. of Searcy and Mark IV Corp. and Plano Bank & Trust in Plano, Texas.
He served as president of United Way in Camden and Searcy, Ark., and Plano, Texas.

Pauline Clemmons

April 7, 2014

Pauline Clemmons, age 67, of Benton, passed away Friday, April 4, 2014.  She was born May 30, 1946. in Benton to the late John James Wills and Leon Smith Wills.
Mrs. Clemmons was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.   
She is survived by her son, Kelly Clemmons and wife Holly of Bauxite; two grandchildren, Bradly and Casey Clemmons of Bauxite; two great-grandchildren; the father of her son, Ralph Clemmons; two brothers, J.T. and Paul Lee Wills, both of Benton; and a life-long friend, Don Pirl of Benton.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 7, at Ashby Funeral Home.
