John Russell â€śJ.R.â€ť Harrell, 87, of Jessieville, passed away Thursday, Sept. 22.Â He was born in Dardanelle on Nov. 7, 1923, to Osco and Myrtle Harrell.
Mr. Harrell retired from Reynolds Metals in Bauxite and was a member of Cedar Mountain Baptist Church in Hot Springs.
He was preceded in death by his son, Cecil Doyle Harrell.
Fae Dean Roberts, 88, of Benton, passed away September 21. Â She was born on September 19, 1923 in Highland, Arkansas to the late Joe B. and Lillian Gertrude Thomasson.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Orville Roberts; one son Don Roberts and wife Cheryl of Springfield, Missouri; one daughter Judy Yearry and husband Allan of Benton; one brother Jack Thomasson, and four grandsons, Baron and Josh Roberts, and Brent and John Yearry.
She graduated from Arkadelphia High School and attended Henderson State Teachers College.Â She was a member of First Baptist Church in Benton.
Bobby Joe Mooney, 69, of Glen Rose went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 21.Â He was born January 14, 1942 in Prattsville, the son of Clifton and Ila (Stuckey) Mooney.Â He was a graduate of Prattsville High School and worked as a serviceman for Benton Utilities.Â Bobby had served as president of the Glen Rose School Board and was a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church.Â
Preceding him in death is his father; step-father, Halton Jordan; and son, Bradley Mooney.
Logan Dewell Crowson, of Benton, infant son of Darrell Crowson and Amy (Holley) Crowson, passed away Sunday, September 18.Â
Logan was preceded in death by his maternal relatives; grandmother, Cecile Vick, grandfather, Robert Eugene Holley, aunt, Allison Holley; step-grandfather, Albert Scroggins, and uncle, Robert J. Wesley Holley, His paternal relatives; great grandfather, Dewell Lee Crowson, great uncle, William Willis â€śBillâ€ť Crowson, and great aunt, Dulcie Elizabethâ€ťPoopsieâ€ť Crowson.
David Eugene Brumley, 71, of Benton, passed away Sept. 18. He was born June 16, 1940 in Shreveport, La., to Deverett and Mary Alice Brumley.
David lived a full life and loved his family and friends.Â He was an active member of the Saline County Moose Lodge and a pro-golfer for many years.Â David enjoyed fishing and hunting.Â
He was preceded in death by his father, Deverett Brumley.
Bobby J. Rowan, 81, of Benton passed away Monday, Sept. 19, at Saline Memorial Hospital Hospice House in Bryant.Â He was born Nov. 30, 1929, in Hot Springs to the late Henry and Maude Rowan and was a member of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Ray Rowan.
Laverne "Bernie" Witham, 62, of Malvern (formerly of Fordyce) died Sept. 18, at National Park Medical Center in Hot Springs.Â She was born June 15, 1949, in Sparkman, the daughter of John Henry and Dorothy (Shaddock) Brown.Â She graduated from Sparkman High School in 1967 and was the owner of Bernie's Daycare in Fordyce.Â She was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Her love and grace touched so many hearts through the years.Â She was a true shining example of unconditional love and the Christian way.Â
Rodney Dwight Cleghorn, 65, of Bryant, died Sunday, Sept. 18. He was born Nov. 7, 1945 in Alleene.
Rodney was an Engineering Assistant for Ground Landscape, a U.S. Navy Veteran and a member of Benton First Assembly of God Church in Benton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Coelia Cleghorn; brothers, Coy and Tom Cleghorn; and sister, Theola Deal.
Mildred Ella Boyd Perryman, 85, of Benton, passed away Thursday, Sept. 15, in Benton. She was born Oct. 1, 1925, to the late Eddie S. and Cora Delena (Capel) Boyd in Benton.Â Her husband, Gerald W. Perryman also died on September 15.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Edward C. and Alton L. Boyd; and one grandson, Charles Shaun Miller.
Gerald W. Perryman, 86, of Benton passed away Thursday, Sept. 15, in Benton. He was born Nov. 29, 1924, in Little Rock to the late Tom Earl and Mettie Graves Perryman.
Mr. Perryman was retired from Reynolds Metals, a U.S. Navy veteran and a 32nd-degree Mason. Â His wife, Mildred Perryman also died Sept. 15.
He was predeceased by a brother, Earl Perryman; and a grandson, Charles Shaun Miller.
