Gerald W. Mitchell

Gerald W. Mitchell, 85, of Haskell passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014. He was born April 20, 1929, in Grubbs.
Gerald was a retired furniture builder. A U.S. Army veteran, he served in the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Ethel Campbell Mitchell; one brother; and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Bertie Mitchell; a son, Robert Mitchell; his brothers, Bobby, Kenneth and Tillman Mitchell; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Scott Christopher Martin

Scott Christopher Martin, 60, of Benton, passed away on May 11, 2014. He was born Dec. 16, 1953.
Scott loved nothing more than to be in the kitchen cooking or outside grilling for family, friends and neighbors. Scott was a dedicated employee of Simplex-Grinnell for 38 years. He loved being with his grandchildren and never missed a game his son-in-law pitched.
Scott was a very loyal friend and husband.  He never met a stranger and would help anyone in need.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Margareth Martin of Fayetteville; and a sister, Gayle Bromstead of Springdale.

Arlene Maria Bridges

Arlene Maria Bridges, 56, of Benton went to her eternal home May 10, 2014 in Little Rock.  She was born March 21, 1958 in Pisa, Italy to the late Joseph Kindell and Franca (Redini) Bridges.
Arlene was a Christian and lived for her family, her many friends, her cats and scrapbooking.  She was a public school and special education teacher in Arkansas and Mississippi for more than 16 years.
