Ben Crutchfield

Ben Crutchfield, 50, of Bauxite passed away on May 2, 2014.
He loved hunting, fishing, tinkering in his shop, working outdoors and spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his dad, James Curtis Crutchfield.

Joe W. Mitchell

May 5, 2014

Joe W. Mitchell, age 105, of Benton, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2014. 
He was born Oct. 15, 1908, in Center Ridge.
Mr. Mitchell was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a member and deacon of Holland Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.  He was the owner and operator of Mitchell’s Barber Shop. 
Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by his parents, William R. and Barbara Mitchell; his wife, Hazel A. Mitchell; and 12 brothers and sisters.
He is survived by two sons, Danny J. Mitchell and Jim Head; a grandson, Phillip Booher; and a great-grandson, Avan Booher.

Bobby Elven King

Bobby Elven King, son of Leaman King and Hettie Kelly King, was born in Traskwood, Saline County, Ark., on Oct. 5, 1934, and passed away at Bryant, Ark., on May 1, 2014, at the age of 79.
Bobby worked as a contractor for a cable company and was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served with the Nike Guided Missile Unit in California from 1955 until 1957.  He was a member of the Center Fork Missionary Baptist Church in Hot Springs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leaman and Hettie King; a brother, Billy King; and a sister, Bonita Schmidt.
