Clomer L. Goins, 83, of Malvern, passed away Feb. 7, 2014.Â He was born May 23, 1930 in Benton to the late Harrison and Addie Langley Goins. Clomer was a truck driver for both Foreman Concrete and Affliated Foods.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Sadie Goins and wife, Jetty Dunn Goins, stepson, Troy Wayne James, Step daughters, Cynthia Gale Richardson and Connie Darlene Parish, son in law, Edward Smith and sister, Dorothy Traylor.
Carolyn Vinson Curtis, 74, of Benton unexpectedly passed in to everlasting life Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014 at her home in Benton from a sudden illness.Â She was born Nov.
C.O. Tittle, 93, departed his earthly life on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014. He and his wife of 72 years, Beatrice Harvill Tittle, were fortunate to live in their own home together until his death.
Mr. Tittle was born in 1920 in Saline County. He was the first son of the late Omar and Ethel Ewell Tittle and was the last living member of his immediate family.
Mr. Tittle served in the Army during World War II and returned to Benton to work at Reynolds Metal Co. for 32 years as a supervisor in production.
Ambrose Davis "Dave" Bridges, 93, of Benton died Feb. 8, 2014, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Little Rock.
He was born May 7, 1920, in Campbell, Mo.
Dave was a retired fire captain with the Benton Services Center. He served in World War II in the U.S. Army (6th Infantry, 1st Armored Division).
He enlisted in 1938 and served until 1941 at which time he was honorably discharged with the rank of sergeant. He re-enlisted in 1941, serving until 1945 when he was honorably discharged with the rank of corporal.
