Mary Lou Sharp, 96, passed away at Saline Memorial Hospice in Bryant on Saturday, October 1. She was born on May 9, 1915 in Erath County, Texas. She was a housewife and a Methodist.
She is survived by her daughter, Billie Dial and her husband, Gene, son, Marty Sharp and his wife, Becky, granddaughter, Gina Foree and husband Donald, grandson, Matt Sharp and wife Jennifer, great-granddaughter, Austyn Sharp and Brother â€“in-law, Gerald Perry.
Private Graveside services were held at the Little Rock Veteran Cemetery.
Anna Kate McDaniel Shoemaker, 87, died Sept. 29. She was a retired employee of Reynolds Metals Co. and a member of First Baptist Church of Bryant. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Alma McDaniel; and her husband, H. Holden Shoemaker.
Mary Frances Sims, 80, of Benton died Saturday Oct. 1, at her home. She was born March 8, 1931, to Mary and Avery Martin in Austin.
Mary Frances went through Little Rock Public Schools, graduating from Little Rock High School in 1948. She graduated from Little Rock Junior College in 1950. She was a member of Zeta Phi Sorority at UALR and sang in the college a cappella choir.
After graduating from UALR, she married Samuel Richard Sims Jr. They have been married for 60 years.
Abbie Rose Rauch Hollinger Cook, 79, of Bryant died Sunday, Oct. 2. She was born Nov. 2, 1931, in Little Rock.
She was a homemaker and a member of Holland Chapel Baptist Church for 45 years. Currently, she is a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Hazel Rauch; her first husband, James Hollinger; a daughter, Sandra Kay Hollinger King; and her brother, Johnny Rauch.
Anna Maria (Thompson) Henderson, 52, of Benton, departed this life and received the embrace of our Heavenly Father and our Lord Jesus Christ on Sept. 28, after a long and valiant battle with colon cancer.Â She was surrounded by loving family at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock at the moment of peacefully passing into the next life.Â She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald D. Thompson and Estella L. Thompson; her paternal grandparents, George and Essie Thompson; and her maternal grandparents, Arley and Essie Hodgson.Â She was born on Dec.
Michael L. Wood, 61, of Benton, died on Tuesday, Sept. 27, at Hospice Home in Bryant. He was born on January 23, 1950, son of Bernus and Marie Wood.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Michael is survived by three sons, Mark, Kelly and James Michael; daughter, Heather; life partner Janice Rogers; two sisters, Peggy Williams and husband, Stan of England, and Deborah Edmondson and Pete of Scott; and one nephew, Jason Martin and wife, Amber.
Graveside service will be Friday, Sept. 30, at 2 p.m. following the visitation.
Debbie Lynn (House) Wilson, 57 of Benton passed away September 24, at the Saline Memorial Hospice House in Bryant. She was born to parents William Nathan and Emily House on December 23, 1953 in Little Rock.
Martha L. Wisely, 87, of Benton, passed away Tuesday, September 27.Â She was born September 22, 1924 in Sheridan, Arkansas.Â Mrs. Wisely was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.Â She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Ola Camp; husband, Carl Dean Wisely; brother, Rayburn Camp and a sister, Vida Mashburn.
She is survived by two sons, Scott Wisely and wife Frances of Benton and Dale Wisely and wife Marilyn of Alabama; brother, Lynn Camp of Sheridan; two sisters, Fannie Linn of Morrilton and Cloma Dean of Colorado; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Wylie Lonnie â€śDubâ€ť Shelnut, 79, of Benton died Friday, Sept. 23, following a lengthy battle with Alzheimerâ€™s disease.Â He was born Dec. 12, 1931. to Harlon and Zella Shelnut, who preceded him in death.
Wylie passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family and the one true love of his life, his wife of almost 61 years, Joyce Burnett Shelnut.
U.S. Air Force Capt. Cassandra Dawn Henneberry, 37, of San Antonio died Sept. 21 from complications due to cancer.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas F. Wood of Benton.
She is survived by her husband, T. Henneberry; children, Dade, 14, and Gillian, 10, of San Antonio; her mother, Mary Ellen Wood of Benton; two sisters, Heather Wood and husband James McAlister of Mayflower and Melany Boyd and husband Jerah of Benton; five nieces and nephews; and many friends.
