Louis Willard â€śButchâ€ť Wingfield, 70, went to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, Jan. 20, 2014 while at home with his wife by his side.Â He was born on Oct. 11, 1943 to L.B. and Lucille Wingfield in Spokane, Wash. eventually settled in Glen Rose.Â He is a 1962 graduate of Glen Rose High School.Â On August 28, 1965, Louis married Nelda McMullen, the love of his life.Â Louis was a faithful member of Fairplay Missionary Baptist Church in Glen Rose. He will be especially remembered for his strong faith and selfless nature; all who knew him loved him.Â
Raymond L. Champagne, 68, of Benton died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014.Â He was born November 27, 1945 in Thief River Falls, MN to the late Frank and Selma Champagne and was a machine operator.Â Raymond enjoyed bowling and participated in several leagues.Â
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two siblings; his brother Leroy Champagne of Benton and his sister Sylvia Murphy of Newburn, NC.
He is survived by a brother, Frank Champagne and wife Hazel of Benton and a sister, LeNora Stevenson of Benton.Â He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Joyce M. Lee, age 78, of Benton passed away on Jan. 18, 2014. She was born Sept. 8, 1935 in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
Joyce was a retired loan officer for Hurricane Creek Credit Union and was a charter member of Highland Heights Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Kathrine Powers Witt; and a sister, Beth Vaughn.
Frank â€śCorkyâ€ť Chenault, age 69, of Benton passed away Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014.
He was born to Floyd and Ethelene Chenault and raised in the Bauxite and Bryant communities, graduating from Bryant High School in 1962.
He was a 1966 graduate of Arkansas State Teachers College (now University of Central Arkansas), eventually getting his master's and administratorâ€™s degrees in education
