Horace â€śButchâ€ť Jones Jr., 44, of Benton passed away March 31, 2014. He was born Dec. 25, 1969, to the late Horace O. Jones Sr. and Lorella Carol Jones.
He is survived by his sisters, Rella Sanders and Stephany Alhajjaj, and a brother, Fred Jones.
He also is survived by his nieces and nephews, Kayla Mitchell, Jenna Jones, Janelle Sanders, Jebry Alhajjaj, Timmy Sanders, Layla Alhajjaj, Ramsey Alhajjaj, and Ally Alhajjaj. Also surviving are his aunts and uncles, Marvis Hankins, Jan Leal, Pat Scott, Donald Wills, Pixie Wiggs, Deri Wills, Dennis Wills, Gina Gilmore and Barbara Hines.
Ernestine Parker Ward, age 67, of Benton passed away Monday, March 31, 2014.
She was born Nov. 11, 1946, in Benton.
Mrs. Ward was a graduate of Benton High School and a charter member of Discover the Joy Church.Â
She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Parker; and a nephew, Cody Parker.
Delphia Jane (Ashley) Culpepper, 89, of Hot Springs passed away March 31, 2014.
Born Dec. 5, 1924, at Sheridan, she was the fourth of Drew Edward and Versie Jane (Appling) Ashleyâ€™s seven daughters.
â€śDelâ€ť was a remarkable woman. In 1943, at the height of World War II, she graduated from Sheridan High School and quickly joined her three older sisters as a munitions worker at the Arkansas Ordnance Plant (AOP) at Jacksonville, Ark.
Jeanetta E. Tiner, 69, of Haskell, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014.Â She was born July 17, 1944, in Morrilton to the late Alvie and Pauline Burke Williams.
Jeanetta was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Janice Collins; and a brother, Robert Williams.
Robert J. Krejci, 89, of Benton died Wednesday, March 26, 2014.
He was born Jan. 29, 1925 in Los Angeles, Calif., to the late Frank J. and Louise Hayes Krejci and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Benton.Â
Mr. Krejci served his country as a member of Co. A 596th Signal Aircraft Warning Battalion of the Army Air Force during World War II.Â
Later, he worked as a plant manager in a medical equipment company, as a technician in an electric motor company, and was co-owner of Coleman Pipe Organs. He was a member of the American Theater Organ Society.
On March 28, 2014, Doyle Covington, father of three, left us at the age of 75 to be with God.
Doyle was born April 19, 1938, He was preceded in death by his brother, Clyde Covington of Prescott, and by his sister, Sylvia Turner of Conroe, Texas.
He is survived by his two sisters, Joyce Campbell of Bryant and Faye Preston of Prescott.
Doyle celebrated his 52nd wedding anniversary with wife Peggy in February of this year.
Gracie Zell Farnam, 91, of Bryant passed away Saturday March 29, 2014.
She was born Dec. 3, 1922, in Russellville.
Gracie was a homemaker and a member of Abundant Life Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bonnie Elroy Rollans and Luvenna May McGuffey Rollans; her husband, Oscar Farnam Sr; a daughter, Betty Brown; and a grandson, Derwin â€śBubâ€ť Farnam.
Nancy Flo Bylander Whitley, 82, of Benton passed away Friday, March 28, 2014.
Nancy Whitley excelled in all areas of life and will be remembered for her compassionate spirit, unfaltering determination, and joyful outlook. She was born June 2, 1931, in Little Rock.Â
She was preceded in death by her father, Edger G. Bylander; her mother, Faye Dallas; her stepfather, Lonnie Dallas; and one grandson, Matthew Whitley.
Glenda Gail Finley Taylor of Benton, was born on August 9, 1940 and passed away on March 27, 2014 at the age of 73.Â She was the daughter of James Finley and Willie Lucy Finley.Â She was a member of Cross Roads Missionary Baptist Church and retired from CoorsTek, Inc.Â
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Ethel Finley Young and Bonnie Finley Beeler, and an infant brother, James Rex Finley.
James H. McHughs, 89, of Benton went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 27, 2014.Â He attended college at Arkansas State Teachers where he played basketball.Â James was the Chief of Reservoir Regulations for Arkansas, Texas, and Oklahoma.
James wasÂ preceded in death by his daughter, Linda McHughs and his brother, Joe T. Smith of North Little Rock.
