Irvin Dale Brown

January 22, 2015

Irvin Dale Brown, 75, of Benton, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2015 at Arkansas Hospice and Home Care in Little Rock.  He was born Oct. 10, 1939 in Mabelvale, to the late Forrest Irvin Brown and Emilie (Hurlimann) Brown. He was a member of Geyer Springs Baptist Church, a former pastor of New Life Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, and retired as a machine operator from Stone Container. Mr. Brown was a United States Marine Corp veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by and one sister, Kitty Roe.   

Anita Sweeney

Anita Sweeney, 72, of Benton, passed away Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015.  She was born Oct. 27, 1942 in Benton, to Juanita and Burton Bradley.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tina Rachelle Eubanks.
Survivors include her son, William Bryan Sanges; son-in-law, Phillip Kime Eubanks; four grandchildren, Jessica Eubanks, Parker Eubanks, Riley Eubanks, Christopher Sanges; and a granddaughter-in-law, Heidie Taylor-Sanges, all of Benton. 
Cremation arrangements provided by Roller-Ballard Funeral Home.

Ernest W. Combs

Ernest W. Combs, 79, of Bauxite, born Nov. 13, 1935, passed away Jan. 17, 2015.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Sarah; son, Ernest Combs, Jr.; and parents, Gorman and Lillie Combs.
Ernest is survived by his children, Lorie Combs, Ernest Combs, Jr., Richard Combs, William Combs, Kathy Murphy, Peggy Burnett, Michelle Foucault, and Scott Erdman; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 22 at Trinity Baptist Church on Bauxite highway in Benton.

Jennie Earline Summers Yoakum

Mrs. Jennie Earline Summers Yoakum, 88, of Benton, and a former resident of Blytheville for most of her life, passed from this life on Friday, Jan. 16, 2015 at the Saline County Hospice in Bryant. Jennie was born one of eight children to Tom and Lina Campbell Summers on Sept. 29, 1926 in Halls, Tennessee. Jennie worked at several places but will be most remembered for her dedicated years of service and work at the Burger Broil. She was a cashier and assistant manager who helped to make the Burger Broil one of the most popular places in Blytheville.
